Yeah I watched the game, seen what he did and agreed it was stupid of him. He doesnt need to make contact for him to get a telling off from the RFL, but what is working in his favour is that there was minimal contact.

Fair play and Ablett served his ban and we suffered the loss of a starter in our 13 for 3 games so were certainly punished.



I think there are a lot of questions to be asked of the poor standard of officiating last night and maybe the game was too big from Mr Alibert? That said do I think you were unjustly robbed of a victory...........no I dont.

Agree with everything you've said here. with a 14 point start you shouldn't have got within sight of us but we chose to give daft penalties away in silly places.



Mr Alibert is terrible. There were posts on here saying they were happy with the ref as he's equally bad for both teams. well that is true but he really can't control a game. there were a few incidents last night were Sinfield and Mcguire were mouthing off (trying not to single out Leeds players) and someone like Ganson would have none of that and it would be another 10 mtrs. After a couple of the scuffles he failed to separate the players and the shoving continues. He's also incredibly indecisive. i assume he's in SL to give the French an official but it does seem a bad idea. He's almost comical.

Glad most Wigan fans seem to be agreeing and not trying to defend his actions, I for one would say he didn't kick hard enough to warrant a sending off, but then again the intent was there...

Agreed. All it does now is direct more criticism towards Wigan. And next time a foul is committed against one of our lads any criticism of ours will be met with "Tomkins got away with kicking Mcguire!" Not a good position to be in, in my book. At least a punishment would have made some some reparation.

Sean Long's stamp on a HKR player's leg went totally unnoticed at the weekend. He got up from a tackle, lined up the leg and jumped on it as he ran back the 10 metres. The same dirty shiit who lifted JT's leg over the sideline last year.

The only difference between Mason and Joels is that one was premeditated (Mason moved the ankle to line it up) and the other was a rash, heat of the moment action.



Both should have been punished imo, but Masons was more severe.

I'm not defending Joel's actions here as I think it was stupid and worthy of a sin-binning. However, if force of the kick doesn't matter as is being suggested, shouldn't Webb's kick out at the prone Sam Tomkin's have warrented whatever punishment's people are suggesting for Joel? There was nothing in it in my opinion but if force doesn't matter then it was a kick out at a player on the floor. Exactly the same offence as Joel's except that he didn't connect at all rather than just slightly, but some people seem to be suggesting that is irrelevant. Just a thought...

I agree. Although the actions were harmless in themselves, they were stupid penalties to give away.
