yeh,strange rule that - it can't be a geographical thing seeing as Elgin & Peterhead play in the higher divisions - pity they can't apply the same rules that applied to the old fourth division in england ie.bottom club having to re-apply for league status ?

I think if a Highland League club wants to apply for SFL status then they can do so but I get the impression that the SFL is a financial black hole until the First Division at the very least. Certainly some big crowds at Junior games and would expect similar at HFL games.

What is it with Scottish football at the moment? I've worked in Aberdeen on and off and never come across any fervent religious opinions. Yet there seems to be an awful lot of tension in Scottish football which seems to be on religious grounds. Is the situation in Scotland more tense in reality or is the football side of things just losing the plot?

There is no place in Scottish football for sectarian singing/abuse but will it ever stop happening in the future ? Hopefully it will because it's pathetic and not needed in the 21st Century.
