Chelsea's Di Santo having a medical at Rovers ahead of season long loan.I've never seen him play,does anybody know what kind of forward he is?

He's supposed to be a real talent according to the Chelsea fans on here.

Big gangly Argie, compared to Batistuta when he was younger but he's barely been given a chance since he's moved to Chelsea. A move to Blackburn could do him good, but I think he should have stayed in Argentina for a year or two before moving to Chelsea.

I think Ben Sahar was given a bit of a rough deal at Chelsea, never considered and at times Chelsea have struggled for forwards, Drogba missing a chunk of last year etc, he just kept getting loaned out all over the place, like Portsmouth and not played.



It wouldn't shock me if forges a good career for himself in Spain.



Di Santo looks a great prospect, he's not too dis-similar to a young Santa Cruz, good in the air, has ability etc. He's just young, but has the assets to make a go of English football. If you play for a 'Big Sam' team, it'll be an education for him. Could be a decent foil for McCarthy.

The Joker will be moaning soon enough, United strongly linked with Aguero.

Few rumours going around today that were on the verge of signing someone called Zac Whitbread a CB who played for Liverpool, appartently at Millwall now. we are very strong at Centre back with Turner, Gardner, Zayatte and Mouyokolo so cant see how he would fit in TBH, unless Brown plans on playing him right back..



Any Liverpool fans know much about him?

Swansea offered £700,000 for him last week and I assume they were knocked back as nothing seems to have happened...guess he might be waiting for a Premiership offer.

He is awful, deary me. Never gonna make it in PL.

Hopefully IF we sign Whitbread he will do the same as Turner but its a hell of a step up from League1 to Premier League

So why arent we strong there? Gardner when fit is nearly as good as Turner, Zayatte was one of our best players last season but made 2 or 3 bad mistakes at crucial stages but is a good back up along with Mouoykolo who looked good against Spurs and must have somthing about him if Arsenal and Real Madrid was looking at him

I hardly remember seeing him, I think I seen him in a pre-season game once and thought he was dire. Had white hair IIRC.



Let's be honest, Turner has hardly 'made it'. He was part of one of the worst defences in the league last year in a side, who, for the majority of the season, played sh*t negative footy. When he's done it for 2-3 seasons, or is playing consistently for a top side, then it's fair to say he's made it to the PL level. But I still have my doubts.

Real Madrid and Arsenal were looking at him but he turned them down to sign for the mighty Hull City? Righto.

You obviously dont know the difference between looking and offering...



So obviously Arsenal and Real Madrid never did the latter but he still looks a decent signing

So in other words, they looked at him and decided he was e and that's why he's ended up at Hull City. If they were really looking at him and actually interested at all, he'd be your first choice centre back but it sounds like he's going to be third or even fourth choice.

Big clubs look at loads of players in all Leagues at all levels every week, and sometimes they even buy them, doesn't mean they're any good though.
