| Quote RedTez="RedTez"So did Rivers, the difference was that the Jets blitz was relentless. If the Colts can establish some sort of run game - which the Chargers failed to do - then that puts them in an excellent position. If not, the Jets will throw the house at Peyton. The was a sack on Rivers by the safety who's name eludes me at the moment was a good example. They let about 5 or six players go for Rivers, totally ignoring LT and one was not picked up, he ended up stripping the ball.'"
I think the Colts have not been as good rushing than in previous years which is strange so they rely on Dallas Clark etc...

Yeah, it is strange as they're usually decent running the ball. I think the O-Line has regressed. Decent at pass blocking, but poor at run blocking. Much like the Chargers really. Clark is the key for me, like Gates was for SD. Early on Gates torched the Jets, but second half they kept a handle on him.
I'm really looking forward to the Championship games. Strange considering the heartbreak from Sunday!

| No idea who's going to win this weekend to be honest, I just hope we give a good account of ourselves in Indy. If we keep it close like last week then you never know. As for Saints v Vikings then absolutely anything could happen...Saints have the firepower to seriously burn that Vikings secondary IF they can tame the Vikings D line...then again the Vikings could run all over the Saints too...should be a glorious game that one, maybe Reggie Bush will be the difference on special teams??

Great avatar BTW. I think the Jets will do it, defence wins championships.

Aye I wonder if Ralph Wilson is still trying to sell them before he crokes it, it may take a while to sell going by the amount of time it took to get them to get a coach to take the job

Shock -Horror Tom Brady wont play in the Popularity(pro) bowl
www.nfl.com/probowl/story?id=090 ... nfirm=true
It was a joke when it was in Hawaii so why do they think its going to be any different now?
Imagine how many will pull out when the Pro Bowl is in Indy and Dallas before the SBs

Brady shouldn't have been in ahead of Schaub anyway. Schaub > Brady. I'm sure Bellicheat would be voting on his computer a number of times.
I can see why they've put it before but it is a stupid idea. Logically the best team will have the most players and the best team should make the SB. None of those players will play. So it's even more ridiculous than prior. If the Vikes make the SB then that is 10 NFC pro-bowlers who will drop out.

Wonder how long that Chargers fan spent on that sign
Suppose after 41-0 and Super Bowl 3, the Colts owe the Jets a few.
You will, since when are conference championships easy games?

TBF Schaub has been better than Brady this year. The pro bowl is a nice jolly up for the lads who have done well. Now the voting is done by the fans and not the peers people know that it means less than what it did in years gone by.

It one thing doing it once if he can consistently do it and lead his team to the playoffs then he will become a better QB.
Its all about reaching the playoffs just look at Drew Brees he had two amazing years statistically in the last few but missed the playoffs twice so it was all for nothing IMO, he will look back at the end of his career and be proud but Im sure he would have swapped it for another chance in the playoffs.

He could do that every year and never make the playoffs though! Which would you rather have? He should turn out into a great QB and is already showing signs this year but its doing it year in year out that make you a top QB IMHO.
He had 372 yards more than Brady
1 more TD
2 more INT`s
Not really much considering Brady had injured Ribs and fingers on his throwing hand for half the season and according to some(incuding people who are "experts" at the nfl network) hes past it
Not bad for an old man eh

Sooooooo....a player who has one really good season and didn't lead his team to the playoffs is better than a player who has three superbowl rings, the single season record for passing touchdowns, and led his team to a perfect record in the regular season? I'll assume you're quite new to the game. I like the Packers chances for next year, they will probably go tackle in the draft but the running back from cal Jahvid Best is quite good and may drop to them, I think he'd be too good to miss.

Given that the Pro Bowl selections are based on performances in that season, what Brady achieved in 2008 or any other year is a complete irrelevance.

Im fully aware of that. but that reason wasn't specified in the original post. Even basing it on last season most people would take Brady anyhow. Brady achieved very little in 2008 as his knee blown out. I assume you're very new.
