Well it is, in the fact that even if he had rejected their contract offer all they had to do was make sure they put it in writing - and they'd have been entitled to a fee for him when he signs for someone else. Because they didn't do that they won't get a penny in compensation, so an admin error could potentially end up with losing them a couple of million quid.

Not that fussed seeing him go, if he does of course. If he wants to go and play for Sunderland or Newcastle let him. We'll miss out on a few quid compo but he won't be missed.

Anyone seen much of Ballotelli at Inter, seems a bidding war might be on the cards but I am not sure I have ever seen him play.

On the few occasions I've seen him he seemed to fit into the "enormously talented but self centred and inconsistent" category comparable to say Adebayor & Berbatov, which is quite strange considering the clubs supposedly in the bidding war.

Seen him a few times. Never really stood out too much when I watched him play.



From the press reports he seems a complete nutter.

Immensely gifted player. I remember watching him in his first few games for Inter as a 16/17 year old, he looked as good a player at that age that I've seen. Has good pace when he wants to, very strong, tall, excellent touch, great shooting and passing, great set piece taker and can play left, right, up front with a partner or on his own up front. His attitude his borderline disgraceful, but I think his problem has just escalated in Italy to the point where he doesn't even care anymore. If City sign him, he could easily become a superstar of the league, Serie A doesn't really suit him, especially when they play him as a winger, but he would suit England really well if he could just add work rate to his game.



He could really be a top player, one of the world's best, but he needs to dedicate himself and he needs dedication from a club. Could become a player of Henry's level in England with the nal of attributes he has at his disposal, and I don't think it will be too hard to tap into his potential, especially as Mancini and Mario have a great relationship, at least I thought they did.

Interesting, Utd rumoured to be ready to offer £28m for him with City turning to Dzeko or Torres. All I remember ws him storming down the tunnel when Jose was in charge.
