Surely this thread is about nipping the bookies for a few quid, or to be allowed to put on a tip does it have to be a 20/1 shot that might sneak third with the wind behind it? Would you rather I had put forward a loser?

Generally, a tip is a horse with a chance of winning, not usually the favourite but not a rank outsider (unless a Curley horse) not something that is so short as a 4/6 or 8/13.

Like the look of South Africa to beat WIndies in the first test. Best price I can find is 2.20.

I have stuck a few hundred on 4/6 shots in the past knowing its spot on and should win but most of the time I will look for another jolly an double up like the other day.

Going is good to soft could be abit more rain on the way, both of these have won on soft and should be in with a shout if running to there best marks, Lord Raglan seemed to keep finding more over 1m so the extra 2f should help.

Regarding the rugby tommorow Hull Kr with a 16 start and Huddersfield with a 6 start are of definite interest.

It's still a big ask but Hull KR @ 5/1 is something of an overprice in my book given that it's International week.



Harlequins 21/10 is also a bit high given their form and Leeds' lack of halves.

Hang on, so I shouldn't tip something just because it is the favourite? Even if I really, really fancy a favourite somewhere to win in future, I'll tip another horse in the race folks just then God forbid I am not offering a favourite tip, or even worse, odds on!
