To be fair, if you're not an MMA aficionado, the likes of Couture, Lesnar, Liddell will always be a big draw. I went to an MMA event at the M.E.N hosted by Bas Rutten and I'd hazard a guess many went just to see the special guest, Mike Tyson, say hello.



It has always been the case in WWE too. A lot of its true aficionados despise the fact that the likes of Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Batista et al were the big draws while the technicians (or as technical as they can be in 'sports entertainment') were never given the main event platform.

I'm not sure when it's shown over here, but go out of your way to track down UFC Fight Night 19 from last night.



One of the best shows I've ever seen and two legit fight of the year contenders in Quarry v Credeur and Condit v Ellenberger.

watched the TUF season 10 first fight last night, not to bad some big lads on the teams this time round. the rashard and jackson bantter is really funny.

It was a stinker of a fight, both fighters were crap especially Abe, i didn't like the other guys cheap shot though at the start of the second round when Abe went to touch gloves and the guy just took him down instead.



Hopefully the first few fights will weed out the bad and we can get better along the series, i wonder how long before Rampage lets Kimbo fight?

He buggered off to play B.A. Baracus in the A-Team film. Dana White wasn't too thrilled about that I believe.

I can't believe Mike Swick v Dan Hardy has been classed as the no1 contender bout for the 170 pound championship!



I mean, Swick fair enough, but Hardy just hasn't done anything to impress me in all honesty.



I wish Dana would stop pushing mediocre British fighters in an attempt to boost UK MMA fan numbers.
