If you mean the band with the female lead singer then they are called Otep, their song "Smash the Control Machine" is the theme song of Final Resolution.



Or the iMPACT! theme is "Cross the Line" by AD/AM.

Ric Flair is interested in working with TNA. I suppose TNA will trumpet it like its somesort of coup, like they do with every wrestler past their sell by date who joins them.

To be honest when you watch the HBK v Flair 'Retirement' match now it doesn't feel like it means as much because he's gone against it and carried on wrestling.

that's what happens when you don't invest wisely. Look at Stone Cold, he's had his problems yet he doesn't need to lace up his boots and keep wrestling into his retirement years. Yet guys like Flair and Hogan are still in the ring, despite their advancing years and decreasing ability

Flair is minted isnt he? I think in his case at least its more to do with the fact he loves the industry and just cant let go

Flair has a number of ex-wives to pay. He has to keep wrestling just to keep up with his alimony payments.

Well i'll probably watch it that week and don't normally.

Hogan is just trying to hype up the company and create that buzz. He's hardly going to say "Oh we'll go up by 0.2"



A nice target for them to aim for would be 1.8 - 1.9 at that level they would beat the normal Smackdown! rating. TNA got 1.3 when they weren't live and Hogan was on tape at the end.



Being live cuts out spoilers, anything can happen, people who don't normally watch will watch, word of mouth during the show, and people will want to see what Hulk does. The promotion for this show is going to be massive as well.



ECW this week got 0.8, which is really bad. News is that the ECW name won't be used for much longer, and that was before that rating.

TNA now has a huge billboard in New York's Times Square promoting the live 3 hour iMPACT!

Maybe it will, but triple nothing is still nothing



there's likely to be a bit of a spike in ratings. mainly due to nostalgia, the wwe have used hogan for such spikes in the past.



I've seen an interview with Hogan where he goes on about how pee'd off Vince is and how TNA are going to go head to head with WWE.



TBH, as this is an RL forum I'll use RL teams in my analogy, that's like Hunslet signing Andy Farrell and saying they're gonna win SL on the strength of that.



At the moment Vince doesn't sweat TNA though I'm sure he's got someone scouting it. But he doesn't see them as a threat.
