| Schaub is a good QB but better than Brady?
Don't be silly.
The aim is to win a ring, not to be a statistical leader. Brady has won 3 and took his team closer than Schaub this year.

| Although the Vikings are playing awesome at the moment, I can't see them making Super Bowl. Gonna be Colts V Saints IMO.
Eagles are playing in England this year!!!

| Quote Heat="Heat"Sooooooo....a player who has one really good season and didn't lead his team to the playoffs is better than a player who has three superbowl rings, the single season record for passing touchdowns, and led his team to a perfect record in the regular season?'"
Schaub has been infinitely better than Brady this years. The pro bowl is for this season, why would i be making any other assertion. A number of players have had better years than Brady but he is undoubtedly one of the best QB's of all time, as much as i hate him and the Cheatriots.
Quote Heat="Heat"I'll assume you're quite new to the game. I like the Packers chances for next year, they will probably go tackle in the draft but the running back from cal Jahvid Best is quite good and may drop to them, I think he'd be too good to miss.'"
No, i'm not new thank you.
We are almost definately going to go tackle first round, either Bulaga or the guy from USC (forgot his name). I don't rate Best, i'd rather take Spiller from Clemson in round 1 or wait until 2 or 3 and take Toby Gerhart (my favourite RB in the class, although not the best). Personally i'd go after a RB in FA. Leon Washington or Jerious Norwood i think possibly were/are FA's.

In what respect? Leading his team to the playoffs? Must've missed that.
When it comes to QBs far too much reliance is placed upon stats.

Correct. As somebody has previously pointed out, Schaubs stats are only marginally better.

| Quote MSH="MSH"You will, since when are conference championships easy games?'"
Looking at the stats there's been far more "easy" wins in both Conference games than close games judging by the scorelines alone - results since 1988-89.
1988/89
Cincinnatti 21 Buffalo 10
49ers 28 Bears 3
1989/90
Broncos 37 Browns 21
49ers 30 Rams 3
1990/91
Bills 51 Raiders 3
Giants 15 49ers 13
1991/92
Bills 10 Broncos 3
Redskins 41 Lions 10
1992/93
Bills 29 Dolphins 10
Cowboys 30 49ers 20
1993/94
Bills 30 Chiefs 13
Cowboys 38 49ers 21
1994/95
Chargers 17 Steelers 13
49ers 38 Cowboys 28
1995/96
Steelers 20 Colts 16
Cowboys 38 Packers 27
1996/97
Patriots 20 Jaguars 6
Packers 30 Panthers 13
1997/98
Broncos 24 Steelers 21
Packers 23 49ers 10
1998/99
Broncos 23 Jets 10
Falcons 30 Vikings 27 (OT)
1999/2000
Titans 33 Jaguars 14
Rams 11 Buccaneers 6
2000/01
Baltimore 16 Raiders 3
Giants 41 Vikings 0
2001/02
Patriots 24 Steelers 17
Rams 29 Eagles 24
2002/03
Raiders 41 Titans 24
Buccanners 27 Eagles 10
2003/04
Patriots 24 Colts 14
Panthers 14 Eagles 3
2004/05
Patriots 41 Steelers 27
Eagles 27 Falcons 10
2005/06
Steelers 34 Broncos 17
Seahawks 34 Panthers 14
2006/07
Colts 38 Patriots 34
Bears 39 Saints 14
2007/08
Patriots 21 Chargers 12
Giants 23 Packers 20 (OT)
2008/09
Steelers 23 Ravens 14
Cardinals 32 Eagles 25
So, only 12 out of the last 42 conference games have been settled by one score or less and the last time that both games were close was back in 2001/02.

In respect of my opinion, based on what i've seen this year.
Brady has not been as good this year as previous (due to the injury?), and Schaub has cut out a number of his mistakes which cost them in previous years.
Schaub lost his second best weapon half way through the year in Owen Daniels and still managed to lead the league in passing yards whereas Brady lost his second best weapon in Welker and looked poor in the playoff game.
I just think he has performed better than Brady this year and should be in the play-offs if the Jets didn't have the benefit of two teams lying down for them in the last two weeks. (I think if the Jets get beaten in one of those then the Texans are in). Thats not to detract from what the Jets have done once they have made it.

This year was Bradys second best yards total in a season !
He tied for his second best TD total in his career!
It was Bradys second best pass completion percentage of his career !
It was Bradys second best QB rating of his career!
(all second to one of the best QB performances EVER in 07!!!)
He was injured in 08 and had the best year of his and maybe any QBs career in 07 and yet you still think he has not had as good of a year as previous
Try doing some research before making outrageous statements and making a fool of yourself next time !!!
Schaub is a good QB and will only improve with time but better than Brady your `avin a larf aint ya

As i said, i'm basing it on what i've seen not stats. Or are stats good enough to go against arguments I present but I can't use them to defend or present my arguments?
I've said Brady wasn't as good as previously, and you yourself have admitted thats true. I'm not saying Brady is terrible or was terrible this year, what was IMO an average year or at least not a spectacular Brady year is still better than probably all but 6 or 7 QB's based on this year alone.
Schaub has been one of those who has been better IMO.

I dont usually go from stats I was just showing you that you are wrong
As you will have heard me say on here many times about Manning in particular stats are nice but winning playoff games and superbowl rings are what this game is all about.
I think its make or break for Houston in general next season for too long now people have been saying that its their year to make the Playoffs(me included), they have all the weapons in place to do so but another failure will see many of their players wanting out IMO.
TBH I dont think the Texans have the right man for the job in Kubiak he has done a steady job but I think they need a big named, experienced coach although I realise they do not grow on trees. The defense is very underrated IMO but could maybe do with a bit more cover for injurys. I think the RB situation will sort itself out after all of Slatons troubles this year and in a way his fumble problems may well help him more than anything in the future because he will no longer think hes invincible after his good rookie season.
Schaub has been a bit injury prone before this year but hopefully it wont become a recurring theme for him, I enjoy watching him play, mainly because of Andre Johnson I think they match up well with eachother and obviously Owen Daniels has turned into a great recieving TE to help him.
Anyway Schaubs not as good as Brady career wise and never will be IMHO although he may well have more seasons when he plays better

| Should of been level really, utterly the wrong thing to do on 3rd & Goal, should of had a normal run play, not a QB sneak.
Still, Colts have been better in the second half than the first, Manning is making the big plays and the running game is actually existant. Just need to convert in the redzone.

Didnt here that bit mate I went for a coffee!
I think its strange that they have pulled out right as they were about to announce the second game, methinks this next game will be the last at Wembley it sounds like all the teams willing to lose a home game have been used already!

| When we have been in this type of position against the Colts in the past we have relied on INT`s to stop them scoring and then scored of the back of them ourselves, I think the Jets need something similar to win here and those 2 missed FG`s may come back to haunt them
