Poor day yesterday with the two Godolphin horses not coming in, left the one alone which won the big race at Newmarket too and left the first time out 2 year old they sent to Redcar today, and it won at 4's.

A really interesting one to look out for tomorrow night in the 7.00 at Thirsk - Gordey Bee for Pat Eddery is 10/1 in the sporting life betting forecast, if it's anything like that price I'll be having the biggest e/w bet I think I've ever had. The maiden which it finished 6th in first time up last year is absolutely red hot form (have a look) and making it's handicap debut should be a good bet off this mark. Two winners from the stable in the last couple of days is also an encouraging sign because when it disappointed last time the stables horses were running generally poor.



Only downside is Paul Eddery in the saddle as I'm not his biggest fan, but well worth a look at for mine..

Got £10 on Huddersfield to win the CC outright at 8/1 a few weeks ago.



Just checked the prices for the final and they're a best price of 11/10 with William Hill. Can't see that price being available for long!

Not often I'm right but cast your mind back a few weeks.......

Think now is the time to back Huddersfield for the Cup semi final either at 7/2....was 4/1 on Friday or at a very tempting +12 with SkyBet



I can see it being +8 or +10 on the day if they keep up their current form.



12/1 outright is far too big also as surely if they made the final it would be 10/11 the pair at worst and more likely Huddersfield would be favs.



Even 7/2 to win the semi and Evens the final is only an 8/1 shot and you also have draws on your side in the unlikely prospect of either tie going to extra time. SportingBet at 7/1 are much nearer the true mark I'd say.

I'll admit that I only backed them having seen your post, I didn't imagine they'd be such a big price.

Fingers crossed then as I did get 12/1 and have tickets to the final and was dreading a Wigan v Saints one. Now I can go as a fully fledged glory hunting Huddersfield fan with a vested interest in the result.



Then again I have seen Huddersfield (albeit Town) before at Wembley....the swans beat them in the autoglass final in 1994
