| Bring on the 49ers.
The idea of stopping Kaep running is already giving me palpitations. If our run D doesn't improve dramatically he will destroy us.

Rodgers 4th quarter stats apart. I think what he did yesterday was outstanding, you're the scariest team in the playoffs now, nobody will want to play you.
5-25 for Rodgers now when entering the 4th quarter behind.

Started off pretty shaky with the 2 INT's and looked a little off trying not to get out of the pocket and get hit. McLellin's cheap shot on him was what he needed i think.
One difference between now and the last few times we've played the 49ers is we actually have a 100 yard + per game rushing attack. Lacy is a beast and is clearly the Rookie of the Year....by a mile. We would not have been in the position for Rodgers to come back and win it if we didn't have Lacy. Not many teams will be able to slow down our offence if we keep our pieces healthy now they are back (Rodgers/Cobb/Lacy have featured in something ridiculous like 4 games together this year).
The 1 million dollar question is can our defence stop the run. It did in the SB year, it has not since October. Our strenth as a defence is at CB. Unfortunately we are likely (assuming all higher seeds win) to play San Francisco, Seattle, Carolina to get to the SB - all excellent run teams with great running QB's who we struggle with.
Great year for Eli....he has a marginally better QB rating than our 4th stringer.

| There's no point looking who you might play after the 49ers Conroy as you're 1 and done in the playoffs whoever won last nights Bears/Packers game would be going into the playoffs with their Defences not playing good enough to stop any of 49ers,Seahawks,Panthers offences. These 3 teams have D's that will keep the Packers score down to a managable level.
As for the Bears we've waited 20+years to have an O as good as we've got and when we finally get one the D turns into one of the worst we've ever had We need to go big on D in the draft and free agency.
It's also firing day in the NFL with the Lions/Redskins/Bucs/Vikings and Browns firing their coaches.

When you have Rodgers anything can happen!
Some excellent job openings. Gutted the Lions have sacked Schwartz. They may actually get a coach capable of keeping them disciplined and under control.
Browns is a suprise. i've been keeping a keen eye on them since i had Cameron and Gordon on my fantasy team. They are an ok team so i'm suprised they didn't give him another year to try and build on it. They need a QB more than anything.

| Lacy rookie of the year? Pull the other one! Just because you've not seen a decent running back in a few years doesn't mean he should win that award! He's got the same YPC as Zac Stacy, someone drafted 3 rounds later than him and someone who only got to play the Bears rush D once.
OROY is Keenan Allen. Not even close as far as I'm concerned.

Just because you say it doesn't make it true!
Lacy actually has a higher YPC than Stacy FYI.
Lacy faced 8 man fronts for a significant portion of the season with Rodgers out and almost single handedly kept us in the play-off hunt. Rodgers gets the credit for coming back against the Bears and winning but we would not be in that position without Lacy. He is a beast. I'm not sure if these stats still hold up because i remember reading them before we played the Steelers but Lacy lead the league in rushing yards from week 5 onwards (he played week 1, concussion week 2 1st run, out week 3, bye week 4). He did lead the league in yards after contact too. On top of that he has the 3rd most td's among RB's (one behind Charles and Lynch). Statisically and factually he has been excellent - as for playing the Bears....the first game was when Rodgers got injured and last week he was hobbled.
If i had a vote for ORoY it would be:
1. Eddie Lacy
2. Cordarelle Patterson
3. Keenan Allen
Can't wait to play the 49ers this week. Weather is supposed to be atrociously cold so we are going to have an interesting game. Even if we go 1 and done in the play-offs (distinctly possible) it has been a great season as a Packer fan despite the record.

| Cutler is staying with the Bears on a huge 7 year contract(126 million). Now the offence is sorted we need to improve the D to keep up in the division..I think the NFC North will be strong for the next few years,GB will always be up there while Rodgers is around, the Lions have a good young team that just need a decent coach to improve them and the Vikings are moving to a new stadium which should give them a boost in the years to come.

Yeah because the Rams and Stacy faced D's afraid of the pass with Clemens out there The pair were on 4.1 YPC going into week 17. Not seen any stats since. You know the Bears rush D was horrific all year and essentially a gimme 150 for opposing RBs?
I just don't buy it. Guy has similar stats to a 5th rounder who played on a worse team against better teams (throughout the course of the season).
Don't get how you place Lacy over Allen or even Mike Glennon who played pretty well given the circumstances he got the job. Both positions far harder to enter the league in than at running back. Then again you've shown yourself to be more than a little blinkered when it comes to the Packers.
Cordarrelle Patterson is great but if you can be OROY off the back of less than 500 receiving yards and 150 rushing yards then the worlds gone mad.

To be honest i didn't realise Keenan Allen had so many yards and Patterson had so few. i know he did a lot of damage in the return game but i thought they introduced him more in the offence - maybe just seemed like it when i saw them play. Flip Allen and Patterson around.
We obviously have a different view on what "similar" means. 300 more (total) yards and 3 more TD's is not similar. Not to mention the stats i mentioned earlier about leading the league since week 5 and leading the league in yards after contact. He is top 10 in every meaningful category for his position as a rookie. That is brilliant. Bell, Bernard and Stacy all look like very good RB's from this class. It just so happens that they haven't been able to match Lacy's output this season. Also Packers and Rams strength of schedule was remarkable similar based on last years results.
Given your love for yards per attempt i'm sure you'd agree that Kenny Stills should actually be RoY. After all he was drafted later than Keenan Allen and has a higher yards per catch than him? That's how you are judging RB's so i assume it's the same for WR's....only fair?

They look great but do they have the passing game (especially if Smith is hurt) to get there? Defence and running can only get you so far and if they ended up behind i'm not sure they'd have the nal to come back passing?
I think i backed of them a few weeks ago after a few bad results but i'm back on the Colts. I think they will make waves in the play-offs.

| Ndamukong - I'm sure you are shocked to see Lacy be voted 2nd team all pro. He is, from a brief scan, the only rookie (outside of Patterson as kick returner) to be voted all-pro.
DAR130 - You are welcome to Cutler. He is a very good QB but not worth elite QB money. 1 - 9 against GB.

He got quite a bit guaranteed so he'll be laughing all the way to the local bank no doubt. I just have that memory of him wimping out in a Championship game a couple of years ago and leaving it to his back-up to try and get them out of the doo-doo. I can't say I have seen his wife before.

| Knew we would beat Bengals. We are much better than our 9-7 record shows. Having lost 3 or 4 games in last 30 seconds or overtime as well.
We've beaten Denver already at their place but don't think we will do it again. If we do, excellent. If not, it's been a good season for us and it's onwards and upwards from here. Hopefully we will keep our OC as he has done a great job and will only get better next year when Green becomes our no.1 TE slot play and also Alexander and Floyd back.
In the offseason we need to look at mainly our secondary. Struggled a lot this year and is my main place for concern. Maybe 1 more Line Backer also.

I agree on pretty much every point. I had the Chargers down to beat the Bengals. The run game has been outstanding over the past month, along with a better defence and both came through. Melvin Ingram (coupled with Jarrett Johnson's return) has made a massive diference since coming back. He's transformed a pourous defence to a capable one.
I would love to keep Whiz but can't see it hapening unfortunately. I think he'll be in Detroit next year. He has been great working alongside McCoy and Reich. If he does go, I fully expect Frank Reich to take the reins next year, which I'll be happy with. I wouldn't be too upset to see Chudzinski coming back to SD a the OC as another option.
Offseason wise, I will trust Telesco as he has made some great decisions this year, excluding the Derek Cox deal - which was widely congratulated by journalists! Woodhead, Dunlap, Reinhart and Reggie Walker have all made big contributions. Draft wise we couldn't have done better than we have with Fluker, Te'o and Allen in the first 3 picks. Three starters and one who should win rookie of the year. In the off season I would like to see a pass rusher to pair with Ingram and a top end CB to play opposite Shareece, do that and I'll be delighted! We have to pay Butler too. Get that tied up the first week of our off season.
