For me today was a perfect example of why Arsenal's pretty, pretty football is so worthless. If we were playing Arsenal they'd have got nothing because they'd have been passing around the box, waiting for the perfect opportunity and it'd never come.



You put the ball in the box, hassled for the ball, got three ugly, lucky goals and take a point from it.

Evertons point was WELL deserved.

First goal. Weak as pee header. Cech should have at least put it round for the corner. Instead he's too slow, the ball hits the post, comes out, hits Cech and goes in.



Second goal. Ball in the box, JT should have cleared it, Everton player does well to rob him, poor shot going wide, hits grounded Chelsea player and bounces perfectly for the only Everton player within a mile to slot in.



Third goal. Drogba wins defensive header. Ball strikes the back of Saha's head and loops into the net.



Which one of those goals wasn't a lucky goal?



I'm not saying Everton didn't deserve the point. Chelsea still had half an hour to win the game and I don't remember us really getting close. But from a CFC point of view, those were three terrible, terrible goals to give away. From any perspective, they were lucky goals.

Fletcher was caught out far too many times by their wingers, the sooner O'Shea and Rafael are fit the better. Rooney was awful, so wasteful, his passing at times was woeful. Berbatov missed a brilliant chance to score an equaliser.



We need a player who can work the perfect final ball to get through defences badly. Still, it's a good job Chelsea dropped points so a loss although dissappointing, isn't the end of the world.

I hope they don't talk about Wayne's dive on MOTD, they must be consistent with their ignorance to English divers

Seems incredible that we're still in contention for 4th when the defending is so poor, both individually and collectively. No doubt we'll be in the market for defenders in January, but I'm not sure that there will be any available that are of the type we need. Its not surprising that we chased Terry so hard in the summer. And even if we do bring in new players its unlikely that the collective defending will improve in time.



At least we kept going despite being in arrears 3 times and going down to 10 men. Only one defeat so far isnt entirely a fluke.
