I hope tonights games live up to all the hype, last nights were dissapointing in the fact that they were both blow outs I hope both games go all the way tonight.



I would love to see Whitlock get through to the final and hopefully give Taylor a good game, I say Taylor because I cant see him even being tested TBH

Whitlock has a very good chance of doing Barney tonight. His scoring and finishing is superb. The amount of 180s he gets is unbelievable.

What a comeback from Whitlock. When Barneveld went 4-2 up I thought that it was over, but he should nerves of steel get back into the match. Barnevelds finishing let him down at the end though.

Barney has serious mental issues. He looked like topping himself every time he missed a double and in the end it cost him the match. Great performance by the Wizard though.

Definately picked the right game to watch. So glad the Whitlock/Barney game was a close one.



Couldn't be d with the Taylor/Webster match because I knew what the eventual outcome would be.

I lost interest after Taylor went 3-0 up. That and Waddells constant fawning over him.

Taylor and Waddell are the main reasons why the Lakeside darts is a much more enjoyable event. It is just ruined by Taylor winning it all the time and Waddell cracking one off over every dart he throws IMO.



Add to that the "bovver boys" who are just there to shout abuse and sing along to "Chase the Sun" and it is worsened further.



Having said that, I will watch the final but I doubt it will be much of a competition. Come on the Aussie!

That's my biggest issue, He's fantastic we all know that but they don't need to talk about him all the time even when he's not playing.

They probably do though , hes like Tiger Woods is to golf if he was to stop playing the prize money would go down dramatically and most of them would find themselves without a job, so they just kiss his ass instead! Especially wadell the annoying little turd

If the Taylor /Webster game had been a boxing match , It would have been stopped after three rounds. I like what Harrigton said after last nights games. A lot of players have been found out for what they are.

So in the next two months, stories about Taylor having more mistresses than fingers will be coming out?





If Whitlock hits form tonight, it'll be a belter. However I can see the nerves kicking in, and him only winning when Taylor is uncatchable.

Webster beat Barney 10-8 in the 3rd place play off for a £60k prize which moves him into the top 32 in the rankings. I imagine he'll swiftly move up the rankings in the next year, I rate him highly.



At Lakeside, one of my tips, Fitton, was knocked out easily in round 1.

I still think it's been a good tournament so far.



Andy Fordham must be on a tour of the darts, he was at the Ally Pally yesterday, then Lakeside today. Hopefully, he can get back on top form soon and make some more TV appearances.

Hoping for no.15 but I think Whitlock might nick it with a 107 average.
