Well worth taking a look at one of my favourite horses (Secret Asset) run behind Astrophysical Super Powered Jet in the 5f Group 3 at Newbury - was badly hampered at the start and was travelling best of all to a furlong out, before the jockey (not the usual claiming jockey) let him coast home in his own time. He'd been in the Ayr Gold Cup until recently and has been knocking on the door in the big handicaps (as well as finishing 3rd over 6f at Newbury).



There's two 6f Group races coming up at Ascot in the next 3 weeks - the Diadem Stakes next weekend, a Group 2 event and the Bengough Memorial in October which is a Group 3. I'd be very interested in backing him in either of those races at the likely 40/1++

Think the last one to get banned under this rule was Christy Roche's Take A Stroll and they got it overturned on appeal, Byrnes is as bent as they come. Look up the bumper when his two horses Laetitia and Alpha Ridge ran against each other.

Regarding Fortune, just watch some of his rides on Rainbow View during her 3yo season. Little short of terrible.

Decent day on the footy Inter beat Palermo as well, Valencia held on with 10 men for the acca
