Aye, Taylor's scoring is better than Whitlock's, but his finishing has been poor so far compared to Whitlock.

Taylor is rattled. No matter what Taylor throws at Whitlock he bounces back. This is cracking.

The higher average for Taylor means little if he keeps missing doubles. Whitlock's average is good so he is always close. If Taylor ups his finishing to around 45/50% and averages around 108/110 then I am not sure Whitlock will cope with it.

Taylor has definitely upped his game with those 2 massive checkouts.

Regardless of the kind of game Darts is, that is up there among the great sporting achievements in history.



Whitlock shouldn't feel too downhearted, he's had a great tournament, but you just knew when Taylor reeled off those checkouts (167,161,170) that there was only one outcome.

Superb final. Whitlock is going to take some stopping this year and Taylor is just amazing!

Great final and some superb darts from both players , At last someone gave Taylor a game . Looks like Whitlock could be that player to eventually beat Taylor in major finals. Also , I don't think Ive ever seen the bull used so much in a game .

Were Dennis Priestley in 94, John Part in 03 and Barney in 07 not those players?? Yet he still rules supreme. He will stop winning tournaments when he chooses to stop, simple as that really

Whitlock looks better than any of those mentioned. He's got the big scores and the big checkouts .He didn't look fazed by Taylor unlike most of Taylors opponents ,Add to that , He now will be over in the UK full time so his game will gradually get even better.

If Phil Taylor played pretty much any other sport, and was this dominate, he would probably be hailed the greatest sportsman the country has ever seen.
