Sorry but believe it or not, people me included do not have to say everything the club does is great.







Rach my point exactly. A bus could leave at 6.45 and still get to Dewsbury in time for the kick off. So people who are working late could still have seen the game.

Some people are always going to miss a game because of work that can happen on a Sunday.







There is a much bigger 'occasion' coming up. That's the return game at home against Dewsbury.

Now lets say we made the effort, as a club to get one or maybe two coach's.

Maybe just maybe Dewsbury could have been persuaded to do the same.



If we did the same deal as Dewsbury are doing

90 people paying £10 to watch the game= £900

Never mind how much more those people would spend in the bar.



How much money will the people having the curry, going to have to put in to get that return?



If Dewsbury who have been very proactive for this game. Decide to try and keep there fans at there ground to watch the game. How much will we as a club stand to lose.





And more important than that, is how the ground looks when the SKY cameras are there.

i know it depends on what type of job you have but I would have thought with a bit of forward planning (This fixture was after all decided many months ago) that many people could plan around in those months in between, myself included who tends to work late most days, but planned accordingly for this one. Usually, where there is a will there is a way.

Well there isn't a home game until the 28th June so I assume that the pitch will have been grassed/turfed where the soccer players have worn it away.



And if it has been dry perhaps a hosepipe or two may not go amiss in keeping the dust down.

See both points of view here,but being a supporter who goes to both home and away games,sky or not i would still be going to Dewsbury like the usual bunch and i'd like to think a good few more,come on Cougars!

I think like Av bulls won in that forward planning the key that being said I see the benfit for those unable for whatever reason. Not being funny but its not like Dewsbury is that far but each to their own.

Dewsbury are laying on free buses to take their fans to Lawkholme Lane.

I think the fact Dewsbury are providing free buses for their fans is a really good thing I thought we had looked at this as a joint venture with Dewsbury what hapened?

For the past couple of months dewsbury were paying for keighley fans to come to tonights game and keighley were paying for coaches for dewsbury fans to go to the reverse fixture in july, we at dewsbury promoted this over a month ago to our fans and already had some booked in, only to find out this week that keighley didn't want to do it anymore, therefore we had to cancel the 3, 4 maybe 5 buses we would have had going. Seems a strange decision by keighley to us at dewsbury, oh and then we find out that they are having a curry night encouraging fans to watch the game on tv.

Keighley you have it wrong somewhere???? And it is negative because it is. Loosing all interest. Glad there isnt a game today.

please don't loose interest pal, it's not the players fault we need people on those terraces.

I don't believe that anyone stopped away from the game because of this promotion.



As it happens I took the wife to 'Spoons and we both had a curry and a pint for £9.98, then I went to a club that sells cheaper beer than Cougar Park to watch the game and saved money on a taxi, so it wasn't such a good deal on offer anyway.



It was obvious that there would be a number of fans who could not make the game or who might (like myself) be going to a pub to watch the game come what may. They were merely trying to entice those people to Cougar Park to put a few penny's behind the bar.



I will probably do the same for the return fixture.

All I'm saying is that somewhere down the line for whatever reason the coaches for fans thing didn't happen! Is that the teams fault? I don't honestly know what went wrong with the idea all I'm saying is people like goosey saying they're loosing interest and instead goband watch Halifax isn't going to help the lads on OUR pitch is it? I've seen many cougars fans come and go , fortunately I will always attend and support Our team.

Andrew been to nearly all home and away matches for a few seasons now, think the lads are wonderful considering they get very little for thier efforts. Just think that if we are promoting the game of rugby to the people of Keighley when we play on telly we should arrange something to show what a good time is had by fans. Free bus that night would have enticed a few I am sure. We all went in fancy dress and took two car loads. Just think that wasnt a good idea a free bus would have been better.



Sorry but Halifax game was a thriller.

you must have known you were going to get somebodys back up by saying you were loosing interest and glad we haven't got a game! Be better putting your point accross a little more diplomatically next time.

The club is turning into a joke! I cant believe that the 2 clubs arranged coaches and we pulled out. Do they want the team to win or not because if there was a lot more atmosphere and not so much moaning at the ref then we would maybe have done a lot better.



I went to fax vs widnes and stood with the Widnes fans and not one time di any 1 moan. They had a drum and the fans got 100% behind them. Thats why they won.



Cougars get a grip before you loose your fans.

with Helen in control of these matters I can quite confidently say there must have been good reason why this didn't happen, behind the scenes activity has been on the up for the last two years so instead of coming on here slagging off the club why don't you find some guts and ring the club, ask them why?
