Apart from England and Tupou our forwards appeared out gunned by Catalan today. Our half backs aren't world beaters so it's important that it's at least level pegging in the forward battle but it wasn't today.

I think Finn went well today, we looked threatening with the ball, just a shame we were 20 odd nil down when we got any possession.



Miller huffed and puffed but not much end product in the end unfortunately. Best performance as a pairing this season, not saying much but still it's there.

Great to hear Tom had a great game today,would have been out on loan now if the top coaches on here had their way.Sadly I couldn't witness his performance I was watching Jordan at York. Having watched Tom for a few years I've said before that Tom will be a top player in the future and hopefully in the red white and blue of Trin.

If we keep SL status then I think he will be an international in his time with us. He's a good old fashioned winger who is only going to get better.

I can't say it about a lot of modern day wingers, most of them are just power and speed with no footwork ability, swerve etc but this lad has it all and most of all he has desire to win !

Really, what about Tupou I thought he changed the game when he came on. Thought TJ put in an outstanding performance but in terms of sheer graft and composure it was Tupou all the way for me.

Completely agree. TJ was good, but without Tupou we wouldn't have got to double figures. The only person who asked any questions at all in the first half.

Have to say Tupou is a class above any forward we have. Some of his offloads were excellent. Players like Miller should be running of him. Look forward to seeing more of him!

We have the core of a competetive team, especially Arona, Tupou, Johnson, England which are all mainly B Smith signings. There are just not enough of that ilk and too many that are just not up to the intensity. We were just blown away with their power for the first 20-30 mins which too many just couldnt handle.

Sorry for the late reply dj, he came on at 2nd row after 15mins and stayed on till the end. Tackled really well didn't use him enough to run it in but run some good lines, overall a solid game for a first game with a new team. Nice to cheer him on in a winning side

Yesterday we were playing a very good team who would have blown away a lot of other SL teams on the day and yet we had enough chances to win.

What a ridiculous thing to say, do you really think Bradford, Halifax, Sheffield or Batley would have got within 14 points of that Catalan side?
