That's the issue. I wasn't unhappy about Miller leaving, thought it was time to be honest. However absolutely amazed we never recruited a replacement and relied on that useless stiff Gaskill. What were the club thinking about if they thought that was a good idea.

Well the replacement was supposed to be Smith, it’s be interesting to see if any other SL club was interested in him.

I think he'd have more chance of getting a SL contract than the bloke wearing our 6 shirt

Heard today Max needs operation so could be out for a couple of months at least. God knows who will play fulback Gaskill too slow and no recognised 6 either. All looks a bit bleak to me.Our spine looks weak compared to other teams.

It was our choice to go with only one experienced full back and at best a few fill ins however this was not foreseen to be a problem by some. We had on Friday a centre at stand off, an half back at hooker, a winger at centre and Gaskell at fullback. I know they may have played in these positions before but it is not what they are recognised for.

Hall can play at Full Back, it’s not a position he’s unfamiliar with

He was awful at FB against Hull FC in that friendly. Not played FB since his junior days.

Poor Salford, they have made great progress, play a great style. However the officials still see them as a small club and as we know ourselves you are always up against it with the calls. 2 8ps trys FFS, I would have better chance of predicting the euro millions than predicting that.
