I wonder if temporary seating will be hired in or bought. If it is bought then I wonder if there’s been consideration for it to be relocated to the south stand in front of the flats after east stand is complete.



Would probably only be able to get a few rows in there for a few hundred. Not sure it would be viable from a safety perspective though with balconies being above. Perhaps risks such as falling items would have to be mitigated etc.

It’s always the reason I’ve been given regarding seating in front of the flats, it is just not allowed.

That makes sense. If they are bought then it’s a shame if we can’t find a way to utilise them.

That's what I always understood the case to be also.

You could eliminate the risk by having a barrier above the seating below (roof).



With the height of the first balcony though you would be severely restricted unless first balcony outside access was closed allowing higher roof placement and more seating.



I’m sure the club or developer will risk assess a number of areas and conduct viability studies for the options.

Also been told that the club are buying the temporary stands, rather than renting, as the costs are virtually the same.

Doesn’t surprise me. Rental costs for things such as that are very high.



Maybe the purchase of this temporary seating will factor into the next phase plans on west stand. I can’t really see it being utilised anywhere else.



It may just be simpler and the club plan to sell off the temporary seating to recoup some monies after it’s served it’s purpose.

Anything I suppose is possible, netting or a roof of some kind. Undeniably the best place to put them so long as people don’t mind a season behind the sticks.

the new east stand will have corporate boxes correct ? so the flats in time will be gone surely - so why don't we keep the stands to the flats are gone and then stick them there to we have money to build a new stand in the south?

No mate ... this has been explained in several press releases and interviews with the chairman, and the plans for the new stand has been available for at least a year.



The stand will have corporate dining but the boxes will remain as corporate sponsor boxes, other parts of the facility will be repurposed to support the community trust/ crèche/ classrooms etc.
