Personally I'd have gone with Heremaia. Looked much sharper and faster when he came on and the points came rolling in. Changed the game.

Agree with the choice, Whiting played well. Can I just say when you first signed Paleaaesina I thought you guys made a big mistake but thought he played really well tonight and came on at just the right time.

Rankin had a quiet start but grew into the game, superb try too.



Westerman had a fine game (goalkicking aside) Hope he can keep it up and shut up the critics.

Although i,m not suggesting he should be considered for tonights MOM i think J Shaul gave the impression of a man who is confident he will be hard to shift from fullback regardless of who we retain.

I thought Whiting had a bit of a mixed bag by his standards. A below-par first 20, a sloppy penalty or two, a silly offload, and 1 or 2 other strange decisions, but some typically good play after that. Very good offload for Rankin's try.

Don't understand the Whiting call, I thought he was poor.

Wouldn't go as far as poor, but agree not one of his better games. As I said, a mixed bag with some good but some bad.

The guy has very high standards, I thought he was poor by them.

Also special mention to talanoa he made decent yards looked solid in defence and while it's gunna take someone special to replace Briscoe and what he gave the team it was an encouraging start

If Westerman had made some of the mistakes Whiting made he would have been slated.

Carvell put a lot of work in, both defence and with the ball

I think whiting would of been slated, if he didnt score a try , assist for 2 tries, came up with a couple of big hits to turn ball over. But he did come up with some bad errors, your right. Thought westerman was average last tonight, nothing bad, nothing good, apart from his goal kicking ha

On reflection I would put Heremaia and Westerman above Whiting in my 1,2,3. Whiting also came onto the ball well for his try and his skill to create Yeaman's first try was excellent. He needs to be a bit safer with his kick offs mind.
