| Would briscoe need to catch a bomb at centre?
1. Tansey
2. Owen
3. Briscoe
4. Shenton
5. Murphy
6. Horne
7. Long
backed up by
1. Briscoe
2. Lyne
3. Turner
4. Hall
5. Tuffour
6. Nicklas
7. Williams
other players ooc are Colburn, Welham and er?
If we couldn't get owen I'd keep calderwood, Shenton I'd keep Yeaman.
Looking at our halfs I'm wondering if we'll see them on the pitch together so I'd be very tempted to let fitzgibbon go and make a big offer for ben barba.

| Quote Sebasteeno="Sebasteeno"So basically your gonna go with the same as what weve got this year which is a load of injury prone, too young, has been, never gonna make its?
Tansey - I dont get why he gets such great praise. The epitomy of average imo. Give him a run at scrum half IMO
Calderwood - Not a bad player but injury prone
Briscoe - Total lack of experience, playing too many games, cant catch a bomb, falls over as soon as he hits a defender
Yeaman - Agian the epitomy of average
Hall - Great in attack, poor in defence. Kevin Penny mk2
Horne - Injury prone now and battling serious illness. Seems his best days are behind him.
Long - Fantastic career but sadly now no longer a top level player. Injury prone.
Turner - Again very average, would he be in Saints, Wigans or Leeds 25. Answer = no.'"
Please explain.

| Quote cameron="cameron"i would like to see darrell goulding, can play both wing and centre, and extremely well too, i would release calderwood and depending on contracts i would look to get chris riley, he can play wing or full back, that would give us great cover all over, and if long gets injured riley switch to fb and tansy to 7.'"
why would riley want to come to hull at present??he's a regular in a top 4 team as it stands,so couldn't see him coming.

| i never said riley would come to hull, but the problem hull have is they dont enquire bout players enough, i accept he is on fire in a top 4 side at the moment, and shenton would equally be good thats why i said i would try and get darrell goulding, very good player imo in centre or wing and when roberts and phelps are back playing together, goulding wont be in the squad.

| I'm still not convinced that there is anything wrong with our current backline that a settled half back pairing wont solve and a decent gameplan.

| But aren't Riley and Goulding contracted?
And how do you know we don't enquire enough?

Agreed
Simple fact is we don't play an expansive enough game to utilise our backs, you only have to look at the game against leeds where we pretty much ran it through the central ruck area with one pass at most or decided to pass to lauaki or manu for a can you please conjure something up please as we are struggling moments.
Imo when we do play expansive we look bloody dangerous even with the back line we have but for whatever reason we seem to hold back.
