Good point, I would only expect him to play 40 minutes tops, its all about London away next week for us sadly.

Warrington come into tonight on the back of a disappointing defeat last time out, and a narrow win over Leigh prior to that. Just hoping that they don't take it out on us this evening!



I'm not wholly convinced by them from what I've seen so far, still a bit too hit and miss. They still look better on paper to me than their actual performances tend to deliver, but with always the feeling that when they click they are formidable opposition for anyone (as in the Saints cup game).



From our perspective, I just want to see us being committed and energetic again, following on from last Sunday. Think in the circumstances that is about the best we can hope for. The first game against them back in February was one of our (relatively) better performances so far, and if we can go into tonight with renewed energy (and a little better luck than we had in February) than I wouldn't have too many complaints, given where we are.

Think we'll give it our best efforts again and go in at half time in not too bad a position, but ultimately lose by 30 or so. Think our fitness will give out 2nd half and they'll score a couple of late trys. Bit luke the last time we played them.

Discipline seemed much improved last tiem out. Need to replicate that again because if we fall back into giving away constant penalties and restarts then Wire have the weapons to run up another 50 against us.

Last week, I was impressed with the way we played as a team rather than a collection of individuals as we can often look like these days. I'm certainly not expecting a win but if we can build on that unity they showed, that team spirit, then that will do me right now.

I wanna see the lads celebrate the small wins again. Get enthused when they force an error. Celebrate each others defensive efforts when they successfully defend the line. That type of thing. Show a bit of passion

Blimey wires 1/40 on. We 10/1 against tonight. Might have a cheeky bet on us at that.

Baby steps. We need to be better than last week, show effort for 80 minutes, defend like we mean it and show a bit more in attack. I don't expect a win nor do I expect a hammering

Trueman on the bench

seems strange when you lose an interchange

On FC'S Facebook page , It says Smith on the bench with Trueman starting .

I'm guessing Trueman will come on and smith will move to hooker to give Houghton a break

That was a wet weather masterclass from Warrington in just building pressure until the chance for the killer pass comes up.

Kicking game is woeful

This interchange controversy has fired Wire up. They've come out firing first quater. But we're doing things right so far and are travelling ok.

Doing OK, just nothing much being offered in attack.

I like Chamberlain, does a lot of work in defence. Would be good to see what he can offer going forward.

Annoying try to concede. We're so bad with ball in hand

Same story as last week it looks like. Plenty of effort but can't capitalise on any field position and then make a couple of errors from which the opposition score.

We've really got to respect the ball more but a good defensive effort

Disappointing to concede then after playing ourselves right back into it.

The difference in contact is massive though. They're stopping us dead and driving us back, whereas we're letting them poke their heads through and find quick plays every tackle.

Not a bad defensive performance overall, we just lack the ability to control the ruck and dictate the speed.
