Its been the same old story for years watching Hull . Our passing & handling at times has been atrocious , Our completion rates must be one of the lowest in SL .

Our players just make our lives too hard for themselves. Too many errors, leads to too much defending.



Do we sign too many athletes rather than rugby players who have competent handling skills..

For me Hoy is an out and out full back so not sure where that leaves Connor.

I'd love to see Smith get hold of Connor. I'd hope he'd have a similar effect on what he had on Briers. Who knows what will happen though





Maybe a deal for a 7 fell through? Maybe the club decided we had too many centres?

Don’t have a natural 7 at the club really. Pivots look a bit unbalanced.

You've only got to look at the 'engagement' that the Connor rumour story got to have your explanation.

To be fair after the way another season ended yet again and arrival of Smith and all the changes in coaching and S & C etc then every player is potential candidate for an exit from the club.

With a player like Jake Connor even if it was just a rumour started with no truth by someone it will grab attention very quickly and escalate with noises coming from the club re players. Hopefully it is just all rumour started by a worried Rovers fan as think Connor has a great opportunity to really improve under Smiths Coaching which in turn will seriously improve us. As I said in a previous post if Connor was to leave to win things then currently unless he signs for Wigan or St's his chances aren't in all honesty going to be much greater than if he stays.

There is also the salary cap issue. Earlier on in this topic it was stated that Connor earns marquee wages. Not sure if that is true but if it is that club will have to match or exceed his wage and also have to fork out a substantial transfer fee. Huddersfield have been mentioned but are they willing to make that deal?

Real mixed bag regarding Connor, some people I trust are saying he is staying, the others seem pretty convinced he will leave. Its not gonna be a quiet off season thats for sure



What I will add, is the apparent reasoning for this potential move (should it be true) is almost farcical, and makes the matter of the rumour even more frustrating

Reading what the Huddersfield fans are saying it seems as if this announcement is more likely to be about the future of the game in general as Richard Fewlass indicated last night at a fans forum. But might be wrong.
