Wakey drew us into a scrap and our forwards were only interested in smashing them. Thompson wasn't the most guilty of this but came out looking worst as he got shown up by Moore et al for his lack of size. We need to get into the mentality of grinding out games instead of going all out to smash the opposition and getting our aggression used against us. Maybe then the players would stop flip flopping between running around like headless chickens, and going through the motions.

Not true at all. We attacked several times near the end but once again we were 'putting our moves on' 5-10m in front of the defensive line who just stood and watched. Miller actually half beat a man and got a ball away to Houghton in his best foray of the game. Thought you'd have remembered that

Ellis can see it and instruct what needs to be done but that's soon forgotten when under the cosh and fatigue. A good half takes hold himself where he can. He can't defend for the team but when in attack he slows the game he simplifys it and kicks with an mind of dulling the game and maximising the distance.

When Leeds get under the cosh sinefield regularly kicks even early 3rd or 4 th tackle from deep and just puts it dead. The call goes out for it. They call it 'drown play' they then line up on the 20 to defend! These things are called game smarts often but it's not massively smart. I'm often dumbfounded at how dumb as a team we are!! It's depressing!

So after 12 league/cup games in his 1st season we should sack the coach ? FFS give your heads a bang . I don't think people realise how much of a mess Shaun mc n peter gentle left us in behind the scenes , some of the contracts handed out to certain players were astonishing poor and The coach is trying to get to grips with these issues by moving these players on ie Arundel , McDonnell n Miller and using that cap space/money on players we need to improve us going forward , Lee should be given at least 2 years to address the problems we have at this club imo of of course . We have heard about the coach's so called failings but no one seems to mention the good things he's done with his short time as coach ie Shaul established as our 1st choice full back which wouldn't have happen under the last regime , Westy playing his best rugby since he joined the the club , apart from Colbon lee's recruitment so far has been very good , feka , Talanoa , carvel , Tuson and hopefully Sa . He knows Miller isn't good enough and this is an area that needs addressing (hopefully this is the position he and AP will really go for next season when/if they can move miller on )



O/t but to the guy giving stick to Adam Pearson can I just say this .... He doesn't speak for me and thousands of other hull fc fans , AP has been like a breath of fresh air at this club and long may he continue

Tuson - pointless signing, is he really any better than Pitts,Hadleigh etc?

Talanoa - enthusiastic but average at best,

Carvell - good short term signing but leaves us with about 7 props

Colbon - absolutey awful

Rankin - looks good ( jury still out)



The fact that he was reportedly sniffing around Gale !!! says it all I suppose

Talamoa has been a very good signing, makes loads of yards and tackle busts, if he was faster he would be one of the top wingers on the SL.

But he isn't `faster' that's what makes him average.

I may be missing something but if we are to improve the side

the players coming in should be better than the ones going out.

I agree that Sinfield does these things well but the problem I have with this is that at FC we could have someone like Sinfield booting the ball up field and putting it dead to ease the pressure on us but we're just as likely to concede a penalty allowing the opposition to go back up the field putting us back under pressure. We make too many individual errors when we're under pressure. Hell, we even make them when we're not under pressure. There's nothing that a halfback or a playmaker can do about that.

the thing with improving a side is there's only so many better players out there, and all the other teams are after these better players too, its not something you can just do over night.

Monaghan and Richards aren't exactly fast, but still excellent wingers.



Near impossible to replace Briscoe with a better player, but I would say that Talanoa is better value for money and more consistent than the Briscoe who played for Hull.



Talanoa isn't average, I would say he is a very good player, if he was faster I would say he would be an outstanding winger. We should certainly be looking at keeping him next season, if he this already hasn't been done already.
