That squad should be more than capable, even without Connor.

It’s a pretty strong squad, only missing 4 starting players in Taylor, Mau, Cator and Kane who was going to be out due to his ban. Should be more than capable, providing the injury curse doesn’t strike again. Reynolds suffered a hamstring pull in the cold early rounds last year and hasn’t had that long to acclimatise.

Have to agree that the squad announced is a pretty strong squad and to be honest should be more than capable of doing the business on Sunday. However we are long versed in the fact that we have often looked good on paper but fail to deliver on the pitch.



Typically the weather gods are not looking to shine on us with rain predicted in the morning then at 3pm.



Need to get off to a good start and show they have not just learnt lessons from the previous seasons but also addressed and rectified most of the issues.

Yes, there are no cash turnstiles though. You need to go to the small ticket office near the main entrance, or i think you can get an e-ticket online

I'd play Savelio at prop. Not ideal but needs must.

Interesting move, considering we have two backrowers in Savelio and Lane and 4 props.



Think we need Savelios running threat out wide.

Don't think there's a need to move Savelio with Sao, Satae, Fash & Brown. Think I'd be tempted to go with

With options of swapping Lane to 2nd row and putting Lovodua in at 13 and Scott on the bench.

Think that has to be the team, personally I'd prefer Griffin in the backrow and Scott at centre, but don't think that will happen.

I did ponder having Griff in 2nd row with Scott at centre but think BH will opt for the strongest backline and Griff is better in the centres. Think we are more likely to see Lane at 2nd row and Lovodua at 13 than we are seeing Griff in the 2nd row. At least we have options though.

Loving the fact Hull fans got banned from the Conservative Club. After their Party’s and Boris’s behavior, getting banned from their Club is like a Badge of Honour.

Yep, overlooked Brown. Big season for the kid. A lot of potential but needs to kick on this season otherwise a squad player.

Pretty sure it isn't. Unfortunately next weeks game is. To make matters worse it's free to air. I don't think I'll be pressing the red button before I depart.

I would start Brown and bench Satae

Yes, split up Sao and Satae, use either as impact prop and start Brown or Fash.

Hope we dont play Connor with a broken hand not when Shaul is supposed to be fit.

If he does then i agree have Shaul on the bench.

Really worried about our front row.The Satae,Sao,Fash and Brown was shown last season to be so weak especially when big Chris and Ligi went off.

I thought Brown was excellent in the Leeds friendly though - really drove in well, difficult to put down and couple of offloads. I think while Taylor is out, he is our 4th choice behind Sao, Satae and Evans

I asked in the club shop earlier and the answer was “a lot”
