That doesn't count unless he is judging Houghton. I'd be surprised if he has even seen Ackers play.

Just because the Bulldogs don't rate he and he isn't doing great in the NRL, that doesn't mean he wouldn't do well in SL.

| I believe Croft was heavily targeted for criticism in the NRL too - he has gone OK over here. I see enough in Flanagan's game to see that he would go well over here. Controlling half, never stops trying even when things are not working

I wonder if players ask for this clause the club could put a financial release clause (like football clubs do) of say 75/100/150K or something similar as compensation for losing the players early, I imagine that sort of money would be classed as small change to NRL clubs but would be a lot for the game over here.

Not sure any NRL club would be willing to pay a transfer fee and in any case the player/players agent would refuse to have a such a clause included in the contract.
Basically if a player wants out he's gone and I can see this becoming the norm in future.
As far as the NRL are concerned SL is a development competition.

It seems to be a worrying trend with younger oversees players and further highlights the importance of a great academy set up.

Thats a definite upgrade for me, if they both come. Pele has all the size and speed to be a readymade foil for Sao and a great replacement for Satae. Blore will be different class to what we've had in the back row, including Andre and Griffin. I honestly cannot understand why Wests are letting him go, really strange that one.Thats about 36 stone added to our packweight for next year. Things are looking up if thats the quality we are recruiting.

Proper goon you.
Name a non quota hooker who would be a better signing than ackers. Oh wait, you can’t. We could sign harry smith and you’d argue he wouldn’t get in cas’ side over Mcshane

Every part of the sport is massively ahead of our standard, from the youth and reserve set up to the pro game. They’re miles ahead in every aspect. Which is why we get players up and coming who want to eventually go back, or players past their best. That’s just the reality of it.

Still think Robb could be a very good player and perhaps needs a move? I'd be happy with him if he'd come across from Cas.
