What [isome[/i people are forgetting this was his debut against the Aussies and for me. he was no worse than some of the more (so called) experienced players.

At least he showed some desire in all areas of his game.

Not to mention being the only one to chase back and stop Billy Slater scoring a certain try.

I never said Calderwood played crap, I simply pointed out that he made a huge mistake in not being able to take a simple high ball with very little pressure on him.







Didn't do such a good job a little later on when Slater turned him inside out but Slater can do that to most players.

Why the hell Gilmore wasn't taken by Smith is beyond me....Mcguire should'nt be anywhere near the team and would the real Leon Pryce stand up.

I say again,what about Gardner going walkabout for 2 trys....Calderwodd didnt cost us any trie,Gardner did...not shut up as you know totally fook all.

Gilmore has gone imo,we are a prop light as Graham and Maurie are not upto it and we need another hooker.

He would have given us options within team, Yes he is getting on now but constantly rolling out Senior is getting embarrassing.How many more coaches are going to pick the same players that constantly fail at international level.

So we play a 2nd rower at centre...even Atkins would have been better.



Smiths subtituions where baffling as well,Morley,Peacock and Eliss off at the same time was criminal.

Never mentioned anything about Gardner, my post was in reply to someone saying Calderwood was one of our top players.

Think I must have watched a different game to most people. In the game I watched, Calderwood made one mistake when he dropped a high ball (several others (inc Ozzies) did too) but other than that had a fine game.



Roby and him were the only players worth a mention - Calderwood showed plenty of desire and completely showed up Gardner. The fact that Australia scored most of their tries on Gleeson and the wandering Gardner's wing speakes volumes.



And Calderwood seems to have had no raps for running diagonally across the pitch to intercept Slater on Gardner's wing when Gardner was left dithering in Slater's wake. Calderwood forced him to hesitate and had the non-existant back-up been there Slater wouldn't have scored. Instead Calderwood gets slagged for falling on Slater's head - well at least he was there!!



Ok, I know there's not much of a British talent pool to pick from, but I'm starting to think that the best 2 British wingers both play for Hull FC.
