Talking to Mickey Paea. Would be very good signing if we could keep him fit, play off the bench for some real impact. Pearson said door would always be open for him when he left.

Would make the pack formidable .

He enjoyed his time here so could see it happening

We seem to look for the right character as much as playing ability so he certainly fits the bill there. I think the return of Hadley and Abdul could well be like having 2 new signings as well. Hadley definitely returning a much approved player.

Was very popular with the squad and management.

The only worry with paea is his injury record since he left but I guess there are slim pickings to be had so you have to take risks. I still think we need another 2nd rower personally more than a prop

Move Watts to the backrow, had a few spells there this year and looked really dangerous

Injuries are the big concern, but good player when fit and would offer us good impact, I'd sign him on a 2 year deal.

More likely that Watts would go to 13 than second row, but yes I think that would be the plan if Paea does return (or maybe Green).



I liked him the first time, and he's a slightly different style to our current props and would add a new dimension coming off the bench. But as others have already said his injury record isnt great lately and I'm not sure its a priority to sign another prop, albeit he would improve our pack. If we are going to have to throw a stack of money at him to get round the new rules then I would say move on.

If you're really bored, read the immigration rules - full of stuff like that since 2008 and relaxed for cash since 2010

Whats your reasoning behind Green having a starting spot, not been argumentative, a genuine question

I would have Green as he is solid and the other two offer more impact, particularity against tiring defences.

Not to mention Thompson...................

I was a big fan of Mickey but personally wouldn't take him back . 32 next year suspect injury record and guessing decent wage to get him back over here .

I wouldn't take him back either. He has had a few injuries with Newcastle and his style of play, and what we would be bringing him over to do, doesn't lend well to playing well into your 30's

It could well just be "paper talk", the article says (now I've read it properly!),that he's one of a number of players FC are talking to.

Taylor and Watts would be my starting props unless injured or drop in form, think Bowden some way in front of Green for starting spot imo

I can see what you are saying, but think if we signed Paea, Watts would be moved to LF or backrow.



And think Bowden is better off the bench, but would be happy to see any of props start.



Green has played well this year (Was it the Wigan game he had a great game?), but his season has been disrupted by injuries.

I'm another who was a big fan of Paea but think at 32 and his injury record it wouldn't be a great move for us. Then again if LR & MT think he will do a job for us then we have to trust them.

Pretty much what Dave said, Green is solid. Personally I prefer less Bowden out of the two as I think he has more to his game which would benefit us more off the bench imo.

To be fair if it was the other way round I still wouldn't kick up a fuss, as I think we have a great set of forwards.
