It’s not the changes Dave, it’s the original lacklustre recruitment that troubles me, bring back Motu.

I do think we are moving in the right direction with retention and recruitment, getting rid of expensive and underperforming players, investing in younger better value for money players and investing in the youth, but it will take time.



Hodgson has made two big mistakes though in Reynolds and Gake, although both were late calls and there wasn't much else available.



Needs to get it right this time.

I agree with you Rider on this one whichever way you look at it the recruitment by Hodgson apart from Lovodua has been less than poor.

The jury is still out on Evans but you can hardly compare him to Sao or Satae and i dont think he will come anywhere near these two.

To his credit foundations have been laid with our Academy and Reserves but i wonder whether he is in the right job as coach rather than as a Director of Rugby .

True , I was sceptical when it said this week that hull give Reynolds their highest ever salary… and since heard it’s north of £300 k a year . Stupid money for his age and injury record .

The club dont always tell the media / fans everything that is going on truthfully. Again , beneficial deal could mean … Reynolds wants money paid in lump sum or weekly , and same with the club . Either way he’s getting paid his full deal upto the end of his contract.

It probably was 300k with Wests chipping in as well. He signed a 4 year deal with them reportedly worth 3mil dollars
