I thought the young lads did well against a strong Rovers side, Kelly did well and showed flashes, pick of the young lads for me was Wray and Matonga, I fully expect the latter to play a few SL games this year, could push Green towards the end of the year for that 4th bench spot IMO.



Future looks bright, not sure about Carlos though, needs to show more IMO and his place is under threat IMO.

Was it Wray that kicked the 40/20? Very good sign to make first team debut and go and do that.

I'll give you benefit of the doubt, both at York, shame it never worked out for him, still think he could a good SL player and a spell in the lower leagues will do him good

Bobby's been gone a while, Harry moved on quite recently, superseded I'm afraid as we've progressed. They don't all make it or progress with linear trajectory; for every Shaul there's a Guzdek. Half a dozen Hull lads are current Challenge Cup winners, we're doing our bit.

Which one do you think could still make it and what position does he play ?

Cheers dave,obviously I dont take much notice of your under 21s is it,but you never seem to see any reports on how both our youngsters are doing until they appear because of 1st team injuries,which we know all about.

I guess the proof of the pudding is in the eating but I'd still rather more of our senior squad got some game time in early on or I can see us blundering into early season games undercooked (I like that word) and lose some we'd expect to win.



Unfortunately, I think sheens will prove to be rovers' best signing for many a year
