It's a no brainer, keep him.



There are enough backs (which is where we need strengthening if anywhere) that are British that we could sign.

Long and Horne could be a great partnership but getting them both on the pitch at the same time could be a problem?

Would still keep Fitzgibbon. If we needed another half then I would look at tempting someone like Robinson or Gale.

Calderwood out, for Shenton (already a proper international) and Owen (who won't be short of suitors either), would eat into the cap. I know that the pay-offs to Raynor and King are contributing to you being close to the cap this year and you'll have a bit more space for next year, but still. Would you look at maybe carrying one less forward?

If Hull sign Shenton or another quality centre, that would show admirable ambition. However, if Hall signs a new contract knowing that is the plan, it would be interpreted as loyalty or very limited ambition on his part - depending on whether you are a Hull fan or not, I suppose.

i can't decided which way to go tbh. We could lose Manu, tickle, dowes, radford and cusack and bring in lms, westerman, shenton, owen and murphy.

If we don't renew Dowes, Radford and Cusack i'd suspect we would have the cap space for at least 4 if not all 5 of those anyway.

Manu and Tickle should be retained , I think the club would keep Dowes also .

I think we could get Owen and Murphy with Cusacks wage.

Radfords wage goes to LMS and a bit of it to Westerman.

Dowes Would top up Westermans (maybe with some left over).

Shenton Could take the money it cost to release Raynor and King with anything left of Dowes wage also.



But this would leave us with only 3 props! Unless Lauaki moves there next year.



Also with Murphy and Owen signing we wouldn't need Calderwood so we could get 2 young props with his wage? Watts and A N Other(not sure who tbh)

Exactly, just edited my post. Maybe keep Dowes so we would have 4 props and use Calders wage. Maybe even try and squeeze Liam Watts into the cap.
