Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. If you are having problems logging in, please try a different browser or platform, if problems persist then email support@rlfans.com
Where do I start, myself and Rob Wilkinson ex marketing director of Bramley RLFC made a number of suggestions to the previous management in 2004. They tried it for one match the crowd went up by 1000, they never carried it through. At the end of the day I have support the Dons since Tattersfield I have seen us in the worst of times I have seen us at our best. I am in the USA at the moment I always look to see the scores now I don't even bother its too depressing. What the hell is going on over there. My family has a long attachment to the club through my mums brother and throught friends of family. We have put our time in witht he previous management they were never interested. They talked big but never delivered and we always got the impression they were never really interested in new ideas. Winning will improve crowds, Doncaster fans will always watch a winning team. I was in the crowd when we lost to leeds at Tattersfield watching Audley Pennent, Vila Matutia etc. so were 6000 others, I am no part time fan I was there in the bad times and the good times. We pointed out to previous management that anything was possible with the right promotion and effort plus we were offering time free of charge the result they blew us off I think they thought they were better than us. What can you do with people like that, answer nothing let them disappear and appeal to the next Dons management. I am sure I and the people I know could still help but we need product on the field before myself and others are going to be interested in putting time in (our own time free of charge) plus we need management who are going to listen and give a free reign on the marketing side. Give that commitment we can go somewhere, if you can't be bothered then I win my bet, I predicted Dons would fold within 10 years (start date 2004), I may just win this one 4 years early the way your going. I for one will be more than ed off if that happens cause they are the only club I have ever supported and will ever support no matter how far I am from Doncaster and to see them in this state makes me sick to the stomach when I know we can do so much better. My e mail for those interested is Paul30091971@yahoo.com I am no bulls**tter we presented to the board on two occasions Singe thought the ideas were great shame they didn't. If there is life in the Dons contact me I will see if the people I know can still help and maybe just maybe we can get our of the mess we are in.
