Celt Experience A False Dawn 4.4% golden ale (Swim Inn, Sheffield)

Nottingham Salsa 4.5% best bitter (Benjamin Huntsman, Sheffield)

Golden Road California Breakfast Ale 4.8% premium bitter brewed at Adnams Brewery (Angel, Doncaster)

The breakfast ale went down very well at 4pm and with a 50p coupon from Camra I thought I was hearing things at £1.39.

I've been into Sheffield a couple of times this week and been charged as much as £2.10 (Bankers Draft) but as little as £1.75 (Swim Inn). I really should start using the latest batch of 50p vouchers

Great info but i do advise you both attend an aa meeting (before you say it not the car insurance firm!). Are you the 2 guys that sit outside wetherspoons at 7.30am with the bright red noses waiting for it to open? COYD

Salopian Indigenous 5.5% strong ale (Gatehouse, Doncaster)

Elgoods Spring Challenge 3.7% bitter (Gatehouse, Doncaster)



They also had a Wharfebank brew on but it turned out to be Washbank Best 3.7% as opposed to the 'festival ale' Othelia Gold. Still, it was nice enough and the sort of thing you could certainly have a few pints of.



Just as I was contemplating leaving they put Brains A Pocket Full Of Rye on ... It would have been rude not to

The Lazy Dog was very nice.
