imo i dont want him just to help hulls youth but all englishs halfs backs, some sort of summer camp would work well.

T.B.H I just couldn't resist it; if he stays fit he's still one of the best genuine scrum halves there is.

I wouldn't have paid that much for him though. From an international point of veiw I think Sam Thompkins is more of a scrum half than a stand off and will move there at some stage.

tomkins can develop into a fine off half, but not a 7.

Long has come with the promise of a coaching role at the end of his playing contract.

i think hes got a part time one as soon as he arrives.



imo some, not all, of the top players make great positional coaches.

I'm sure the players will have alot of trust in him after reading how he is dobbing in his former team mates!

Its true if you had asked me my views on him 12 months ago the answer would have been the same the only diffrence is that I would now spell it with capital letters.

how a supporter of a tin pot club, who were lucky to finish 4th, has the gaul to discuss a legend of the game is beyond me.

Listening to his interview, it's alarming that a 33 year old scrum-half is the main reason why a poor coach like Agar is still in a job - your club will never get anywhere whilst it is ran in such a directionless way.

We could have been lucky to finish 12th I guess

TBF, it appears Long's social background has had a bearing on his choice of club he has chosen to sign for.....Brawls, Sex and Boozing. !!

TBF long is a character of the game, a great player (should I say was...) and an attention seeker to boot as such he will always be hated by opposition fans regardless of it being their neighbours which just adds to it.
