I agree with your sentiments regarding those two, they just don't cut the mustard as far as I can see.

I just don't understand what the fascination with Marsh is, perhaps the coaches can see some huge potential there but it must be well hidden because I cant see it and I've see enough good players in the professional and amateur ranks in my time to realise a potential good one when I see one.

Plus, to play him today in such an important game when he hasn't had any game time all season was madness in my opinion. Marsh and Minns, though the latter was obviously injured, were clearly at fault on that left hand side when Halifax were running in the tries down that flank.

To be fair he was injured very early on so didn't really have time to get going, but you could see he was struggling after that knock so I don't know why they left him on so long. Carny was left looking at the inside defenders on a few occasions, wondering what they were doing, it appeared that communication between Marsh and Minns was non existent at times.

Couple of pints after game and looking back,we won which was all that mattered.Leigh away next up was always going to be tough but even if we lose we are still where we probably thought we would be. Next week we just need to see improvement and fitness back into new/returning players,if we win by some miracle so be it.Widnes and Catalan home games particularly Widnes will be the key.

How many more times..Marsh in the halves..NO NO NO NO NO!! it has never worked, he offers next to nothing. However, Carney...is a beast, fantastic. Never thought I would say it but we miss Abdull..Atkin IS a half back, could he be worse than what was out there today, I doubt it, but what other options apart from Blair do we have at the moment, but I don't really want him in the halves either. Its a big concern, lets just hope we can solve it or we could get mullerd by the Super League teams.

Lunt was superb in that last half hour, without him, we don't win that game, but how long he can go on playing eighty minutes at hooker, scrum half and stand off is a concern.



That bench today made no sense, Ellis really is just not good enough but I saw nothing in Atkin at Swinton to excite and nothing so far here to understand us signing him, never mind paying a fee. Early days though.

Our best half is plying his trade at York.

As expected a good win against a fax side throwing the kitchen sink at us and being awarded two tries which another day would have been chalked off. Win against Leigh (again) and we are in the box seat to go up without needing the MPG as Widnes look as good as relegated with just 2 home games left. Lunt, Carney, Jewitt, Scruton, Blair and Masoe would all simply walk into Widnes's side. Minns substitution apart Sheens got it right again today.

Ellis will be better next week. Disonterested against Champ sides. Marsh - no. Atkin - not really.



Getting our HB combo sorted for the rest if the m8s is crucial, the rest of the team are probably good enough. Need Abdul back sharpish.
