To answer the earlier question, my allegiances in this league will have to lye with Springview, although I have no affiliation to the club as such, I am just a keen follwer of the Wigan ARL scene.



well, well, well, what a strange little week it has been in Div 3.



Irlam and SpringView have kicked on and a little gap has opened from the chasing pack.I think its a straight shoot out between them two now for the Title!



Looking at this weeks fixtures, the stand out one in my eyes will be the Higgys V Irlam fixture, this will be a massive test for Irlam.

Abit of a local derby ith heysham and hindpool, both coming off the back of big wins at the weekend.

I think Spring will hammer Golborne, and Leyland will have too much for Burtowood.

Cant sepertate Pilks and Haresfinch. and think Ulverston will have too much for Langworthy at home.



The langworthy boys have been quiet since the weekend

Just been told Golborne Parkside have given us ( Spring View ) the game tomorrow . Anybody wanting conformation contact Gibbo . I would say it was odds on after their spanking at Haresfinch last week so it's not a surprise in the slightest . As stated earlier in the thread it seems unfair on the teams who get 18 - 0 results as opposed to those who either beat them convincingly or are unlucky enough to get turned over by them , especially teams looking for promotion or fighting relegation

It is a complete Joke really, Yes i know they beat us, but they did have some 1st teamers in that didn't travel to Oldham St Annes' that day, and they even admitted it after the match, but for them to keep throwing games makes the NWC's look a Joke.



It's like oh yeah we'll pick Burtonwood as they're having a poor run at the moment, but we won't pick SV as we'll get spanked by 70 points, and how is that fair to teams that only get and 18-0 win?



Drives me bonkers, they should drop out and just play friendlies as and when they have a team.

Bad news about your game being off, they cancelled against us the other week we got an 18-0 wn they got a £20 fine but saved £400 on a bus, they then play Haresfinch who will be somewhere near us at the end of the season and Finch get +54 points.

you fellas did a no show yourself grand final day when we (higgy) were ment to play you now as you didnt turn up for the game which we rearranged to play at ours (due to your chainging be unusable as you posted on here and also a early kick off for grand final which we had lads attending) we get a 18-0 home win and have to play you fellas away which by then you may/maynot have built up some steam and could turn us over.



As we all know in this division home games are vital for top and bottom of the league as everyone fancy there chances at home.



so please feel free to EXPLAIN how thats is fair to us at higgy ????

More than happy to explain pal, Playing on Grand Final day is Boll@@ks, you're right we tried to get an earlier kick off but this meant our younger lads that work Sat mornings couldn't play, and we do have a good few youngsters at the moment, if you want me to bore you anymore just ask and Ill happily pm you the rest of the details!!!!



And just so you're up to date with the way things go when you throw an away game we still have to travel to your place to play you, however you're right by then we may have built up some steam and turn you over....

Ps Can I just say, I hate teams that throw games (us included) all I want to do is play Rugby, that's all Most of us have ever wanted to do, and im assuming thays why we are on here, and it really gets to me when players can't be d, you train all week and the are let down by players that all of a sudden come up with ridiculous excuses.



What I meant about Golborne is the fact they've thrown 5 games I think now, I'm covering as secretary at the moment and know they knew they'd struggle to raise a team this season before the season even started, so yes you can say it's a bit of an annoyance to me.

grand final its happend for years playing on the same day so whats new there as far i new we had 10 lads who went but still made themselves avalible to play ?????



sorry but do you think your the only team in the nwc whos lads work on saturday mornings??? we have about 5 even if there not there till half (as at spring veiw on sat) time we still will turn up with lets say 12!!!!!! and just to bore you i work 12 hour shift every friday and still make the game !!!!



i hope you have built some steam up because if your top of the league or bottom you have to be at your best when you COME OVER HILL !!!!!!

For and Against wont matter pal,it only applies to the prem division.Its dependant on head to head results with the teams who are vying for promotion\ relegation.i.e ...........we beat Irlam by 8 points at home,if they manage a win at home by only 6 points and we are tied on overall points gained,then we would technically finish in a higher position..........can understand the frustrations raised tho,especially when looking at league tables

And I'm pretty sure GF last year was a free date too.

I think in past years teams were given the option of a free weekend on grand final day if they so wished. This year due to bad weather, teams requesting free weeks for things not rugby related like stag dos and weddings and Ron Girvin throwing his toys out the pram all teams were made to play this year. I think it was something of a disaster and would hope it dosent happen next year.
