Rylands won 26-20, very close game, ill let Sargey do his report but i will say one more thing.......



got there late, about 25 mins in, first tackle i saw was on Sargey! he got absolutley boomed, lifted up in air and flattened, i knew at that second that id picked the right game to go watch!! love it!



and one more thing.....



apparently Sargeys first career knock ons last week against us, hes on a role now, saw another today as well as him being dumped into touch!!!

Looks like the mighty Wild Boars suffered their first defeat of the season today!!

Poor old Sad Sack resorted to making up stories! If you had remembered those spiffy old glasses the optician told you you had to wear you would have seen me put in several big shots and zero missed in the 80 minutes I had to play as a one legged invalid! Tigers never really looked like winning to be honest and 2 late tries flattered scoreline. We were missing several key players and only went up with 15 including a few of us playing with injuries when with a full squad we wouldn't. Hopefully bounce back with a win next week against chorley. Good luck lads I'll be ed as a fart in Wales! Wahay!

we've some there next week, others away for other reasons and have quite a few others at the stag doo of a certain Mr. Cronus. so, given there are NO free weekends, we will not be playing next week - sorry everyone but its a shocking rule.



The stag doo was meant to be in Tenerife. them moved to Cardiff. then to York. now arranged for Leeds. so knowing Cronus and his organising skills it'll be moved to Bury town centre at this rate...

I know the lads who aren't on my stag or in Cardiff or working are hoping to play, but I think there's only about 8 of them left so apologies to Rylands if it doesn't go ahead. Agree it's a shocking rule and the worst thing is if the season overruns by too much it's gonna clash with the wedding, so that could be 2 games I'm responsible for.

I'm sure she'll be sympathetic if you put back a few weeks

I'll go with most of those except Westhoughton vs Bury, we've got several missing but reckon we've still enough to beat them.

Fair enough just gone for westhoughton why they are at home. we've got both Bury and Westhoughton to play this season so keep looking out to see if both teams are putting teams out or giving any fixtures away.

both clubs conceded last week because of stag events (in both cases, people involved in running as well as playing at the club). people plan weddings etc. long before seasons start and the rule allowing free weekends was only withdrawn at start of season...

Ugly win in atrocious conditions - that pitch is verging on unplayable, boggy as hell, standing water, etc but at least it's a game!! Westhoughton struggled for numbers, think they had 14/15, and we had several key players missing (including spells with no half-backs at all today!). Penalties nearly killed us, ref was generally good, but started giving penalties when people called 'forward' or 'knock-on' - ffs, that's a gut reaction! Still, some of our players want a word with themselves. A few tasty moments and a few sin-binnings but all in all a decent if unspectacular and unattractive game and pleased with the win.

A good hard game, with both teams throwing everything at each other. The game is hard enough, without us having poor referee's. Yes it did get a bit tasty at times, maybe a sin-bin or 2 was needed. But when a ref says "Im not going to get cards out, cos i cant be d doing the paper work" Oh dear, protect yourselfs lads. lol

we had to go there and get the win and we did against a much improved crossfields team, the team sheet was different from last game different faces, quicker line speed and fitter outfit and more organised in attack, i did notice their first team didnt have a game, they told us in the showers they had a few in, but when there coach comes in at the end and says you boys really deserved that im guessing there was a few more than they made out.



we started on fire 3 tries after 20 minutes and looked like we was really in command of the game then all of a sudden massive brawl in which a crossfield player/coward ran from behind after it had stopped and took a total airshot missed and ran off, the ref sent him off and reversed his decision at half timethis again i put down to the fact they were all on first name terms with the ref, went in 14-8 at half time again the start of the second half seen some good rugby by the boars and we was 26 14 and had to play hang on for the last 10 minutes,



our aim was a win and we got it, look forward to the bury game next week just hope there isnt much overtime going up there, or they didnt get many injuries last game, or no stag doos, parents evenings etc as we have waited a while to play bury and if we win this we need 1 win against westhoughton or newton to guarentee the league

Probably their prop who ran in from behind, he did it against our lads too, but when it was going toe to toe he didnt wanna know.

Think it was a second row who did it, was quite funny when all Crofields line and players were asking why he was sent off and he simply kept saying Cheap Shot thats why. But the ref then come out and said it wasnt a red only a sin bin because he didnt connect properly? work that one out!!!

Then the lad that was sent off/sin binned swapped shirts with another player when he came back on.
