All quite on her at the lads. What do we make of yesterdays scores? What happened to SpringView only beating Langworthy by 7 points? Talking to one of the lads on facebook it seems Langworthy could of beat springview, and springview were getting drop goals to prevent this ha ha. Oh well a win is a win so well done springview, u r going to have to put on a much better game to beat the great Irlam, who looking at them yesterday are on great form.

You will not hear any excuses Mr Bra5, we were below par and the lack of matches and 1 training session in 5 weeks took it toll...25% completion in the second half tells the story. We simply put too much ball down in our own half inviting pressure, for me it was ring rust..a good hit up though, and a good weeks training should put things right.All credit to Langworthy, I thought they defended superbly and stopped some real good lines that our centres ran I thought 6 & 1 in partcular had good games, they are no mugs and Irlam only beat them by 4 mr Bra5, and I would hardly call a side great on the back of 12 point game at Haresfinch, with all due respect. They like us I am sure will have been happy to come away with the 2 points. Looking forward to next week however looking at the respective fixtures and I am sure Irlam will agree that the league will NOT be decided next week....I am glad we have got the cumbria games out of the way!!

irlam at irlam is no easy place to come mate just ask any other team that have been there, think you may have a big shock on saturday !!!

I thought it was a really good game and like you say we was also a bit rusty too, hopefully now we can push on from this in the 2nd half of the season. We dropped the ball twice in really good scoring positions and our other winger fell in the bog in a definite scoring position, you also had a couple of chances were I thought you might have scored but we did well to keep you out, all in all a really good hard fair game!!!

dont get me wrong we are under no illusions that we aren't in for a tough game Irlam aren't second in the league for nothing. It should be a very good game, just hope the weather holds out the forecast is very poor for the rest of the week.







Ye mate I played 8, it was a very hard game, you guys have come on leaps and bounds since the same fixture last year, and you have plenty of young lads in there so its looking good for you. I dont envy your plummer though having to sort them showers!!

I know mate, what a shocker that was, showers not working at the hills and then the pipe bursting at the oakwood, I played 7 mate, so are you the one they called longy?

I think the 20.6 scoreline flattered Irlam in the end. They scored a breakaway try with 2 minutes left to seal the victory, however the result was in the balance for the majority of the game.

It will certainly be an interesting game between Irlam & Springview next week. In my opinion Spring View to win by 6. I feel they have more about there play, whereas Irlam really heavily on there size & strength.

Bazblue as you probably noticed irlam were missing quite a few regular first teamers through illness, work commitments and injury, it was the weakest team ive seen them field since they played in div 6 and still comfortably beat you.

i think it was 5 or 6 that was missing who make a massive difference including the stand off. We also had no forwards on the bench cause there was two starting props missing and two that are normally on the bench, so we had an all backs bench, but never the less they are all available for saturdays tester against spring view i say irlam by 10 +

Cant wait for that match on sat (springview v irlam). Should be a great game not sure who I would put my money on. I am hoping irlam take it but it's not going to be easy. Is it true that we (irlam) have got langworthy the week after? If so that's going to be another good game. U are right cowe langworthy have come on great, got some great players the full back is a great player, I agree that no6 is a cracker, one of the props is a bit of a bull too. 2 great games for irlam coming up wooo if we win these lads I think there is a chance we could win the league. Just been browsing the fixtures myself, yeh, Irlam do have Langworthy next week....at Langworthy, should be a very interesting one that!

you had a good game mate, never stopped taking the ball in, yeah it should be a good game between us and irlam the week after but we are concentrating on leyland away this week which judging by results this week will be a cracker too, i think if irlam win this week then it's wide open for the league between the two of you, if spring view win then I think they have all but won the title with irlam finishing runners up!!!

cheers mate, i felt it last nightfever.gif !!! the Leyland result was a weird one, Pilks firsts had a good win which might suggest they pillaged the second team, we hammered them at our place and according to there lads thats what had been happening allot. If you men show up v Irlam you have as gooda chance as anyone against them.

I think if Irlam can do over SV but then its about time langworthy got one over irlam ( each game has been closer and closer) and then hopfully the leauges still wide open between them 2 and langworthy can push up to top 4. ( just thought id come on here and talk some because everyone else seems to do so. you lot should spend more time going on porn and stuff )

Great win spring view I think you will win div 3 now shame you didn't come up last year but new you would win it this year as I predicted not won yet though just keep winning games and leave it in your hands. Once again well done

We had a full strenth side today and lead a game in which we dominated for the most part fair play to view for keeping going but for those that played i think they may agree that the score does not reflect the game

Don't matter if you dominated the game or not mate , you didn't get the win !! Sorry if that comes across as harsh but the fact is if you look back through this thread Irlam fans and players alike have been saying we're gonna do this , we're gonna do that and they haven't backed it up with the result

Sometimes you gotta ride your luck a little and tough the win out ( not that i'm suggesting this was the case ) . That's what good teams do . The result don't mean that much anyway theres a lot of rugby to be played between now and April . Good luck for the rest of the season .

Today was a massive win for spring view who travelled to irlam with several first choice players missing. Irlam MAY have been the better team but but it's the sign of a good team when they can travel to Irlam under strength and come away with a win. Credit must go to all the players the coaches and the backroom staff for this win

fair play not disputing what your saying just a real kick in the teeth as we did more than enough to win the game think games of this nature ie more or less title deciders should be officiated by linesman and some of the better referees ,Today was an important game and i'm not blaming the ref as we had enough chances to finish you off but he really did have a knack of breaking our momentum . Again not using the ref as an excuse good look for the rest of the season and see you next year

Today was a top encounter, fought out by 2 very contrasting but commited sides>



decisions are decisions and we have been on the wrong side of allot with that particular official on more than one occasion over the last few years....lets be honest though, we may have had allot of decisions in our favour, but Irlams try came on the back of a blatent forward pass.



Credit were its due, irlam play the game hard and are well drilled, well done.



But today we did the job we went to Irlam to do and I am one proud bloke tonight. But like i said last week, no trophies were handed out today....so i look forward to Ulverston next week.
