Barrow is a complete shed too. I also find it hard to believe Boundary Park hosted PL football.

Salford City is definitely the worst 'ground' i've ever watched rugby at.

Alfreton Town is a smashing little ground nowadays. Not far off all seater, must be getting on for 4000 capacity. I wish we had a ground like that !

Derwent Park at Workington is really showing its age. It is clear to see that no maintainance of any sort has been carried out for at least a decade, having said that i do like it!

DV is in good condition but the distance from the action isn't conducive towards it being a "good ground"

Ashton United and Owlerton Stadium weren't great either

Always summat cosy about the tiny bar in the main stand though





To be fair, it was a very good view in the scoreboard end in the days that they opened it for rugby games. Must be even colder there now though (if that was possible) with one of the touchline stands demolished.

I went there to watch Wednesday this season and it was absolutely freezing, is the scoreboard end the end to the right as you look out of the main stand? That's where we were stood, I've only been once to watch Eagles and was in the main stand.

That's right, yes. The scoreboard end (the away end for OAFC games) was always allocated for Leigh fans up until our final visit to Boundary Park when everyone was put in the main stand instead.

Worst ground for me ,no doubt Barrow,then Worky , but i liked Owlerton ,dont know why, best ground for rugby has to be Bloomfield Road , Blackpool , the Promised land , come and see Charlie at the Tower

Oh, i also forgot to mention Whitehaven's Recreation ground. Very open, with basic facillities. Owlerton was one of my favourites. You didn't need too many in to make a good noise. I remember playing Oldham there, when there was over 3500 in. It was heaving. But the best bit was when a young 21 yr old Sheffield lass decided to take off her long coat & dressed only in Thigh length boots, invaded the pitch

Hilton Park was horrible. Stank of p!ss and we always lost there.

I didn't mind Hilton Park. A traditional RL ground, with a decent atmosphere. Partizan fans

and a good view. Obviously not as good as the LSV but I wouldn't mind having a ground like Hilton park.

I liked Hilton Park. I'll never forget the legendary "d'yer go on that faceboooook" bloke.

Hilton Park had the best scoreboard ever! It deserved to be a listed building!

A lot of us Leigh fans wanted to have it moved to somewhere on the LSV site but it was condemned due to being full of asbestos

I think eventually every away team was a "visitor" as the rolls stuck. But lets not laugh too much as the electronic scoreboard at the Don Valley does n't work at all!

The next home game against Barrow is at the Don Valley and on TV. The next game at Bramall Lane is late August. The Eagles have played at least 4 games at the Don Valley and 1 at Mount St Mary's this season so its difficult to convince anyone that the Eagles home ground is Bramall Lane.
