Does anyone know a train combination to get as near as LSV as possible? I've got the tickets but live in Liversedge (Huddersfield) so the supporters coaches aren't an option. I normally drive to away games but i'm putting my foot down this time as I going to have a couple of bevvies.

I assume getting to Manchester Picadilly the a change to ??

Nearest stations will be Wigan and Atherton both possible from Manchester then taxi or peasant wagon to LSV.

Atherton probably closest, but Newton-Le-Willows is almost a straight road to LSV and less traffic with taxis usually waiting ourside the station or you can book one to meet you there. Can get there from Piccadilly for about a fiver.

Will be a lot cheaper' train to MCR and x34 bus to Leigh.

and not much difference timewise.

I get the x34 MCR to Leigh most Leigh games mate and I will be there for Cas v Widnes.

Watched Leeds v Cas tonight and was very impressed.

Be careful with the smaller stations like N-le-W, Atherton, Hindley & the like. These stations don't have a public hire taxi rank outside and you would have to pre book a private hire car to meet you. Probably better to get a Leigh cab firm to come out for you & take you back later, choice of several larger firms in Leigh than the outlying districts.

Anyone know what time the Glassblower party sets off for Leigh on Sunday? Nothing advertised in there when I was last in on Friday.

I do believe we (blower) bus leaves at 10. I would advise getting down for around 9 to half past as there is 600 fans going from there.

Just to confirm the buses ae leaving the blower at 10:15. We are getting down early as it will be pretty busy!

Train to Manchester VICTORIA then (possible change) on to Atherton Station. Plenty of buses from Atherton to Leigh town centre.
