I happen to have landed a job in Hertfordshire on the Friday before the final, that frankly no-one else would do and the company are going to be paying the hotel for. They're not bothered if it is before or after the work, so I think it might be the dawn drive down on the Friday, followed by the hotel (where I'll leave the car) and then a mooch back up the uncrowded M11 on Saturday evening.
