This year we started the season with Peacock, Leuluai, Bailey, Cross & Burgess as our five senior props.

For the coming season we're going in with Peacock, Leuluai, Bailey, Moore, Kirke, Ambler & Amor, and potentially Griffin-a total of 8 senior props.

This seems completely excessive. If Griffin & Moore are coming in as replacements for Burgess & Cross, then we have a similar senior 5 for next year. But with Kirke now playing as a prop signed on for next year, and Ambler & Amor having had the standard 'development season' with other clubs, we seem to be overflowing in the forwards.

From this I'd summise a few things

1) One of the senior props won't play a lot. I'd guess this is Leuluai, given Bailey has done enough this season to take the number 8 jersey off him.

2) either Jamie Peacock or Ian Kirke isn't expected to play prop next year, but in the second row as an internal replacement for Lauititi

3) One of Ambler & Amor will not play next year

4) Possibly, the Griffin deal is now dead.

5) Sinfield will be playing 6 all through next year, and one of the current second rows (Clarkson?) will be moving to stand off.

Having watching the crusaders game last week live I was very very worried regarding the Moore signing.
Going forward he was ok, but his defence was shocking and made weller from the start of the season look like a defensive god!!

Yeah I have to admit, I felt a little like that too, and I was only watching the bits of the game against Hull FC on boots n' all last night. I would like to put it down to the fact that he was playing in a poor Crusaders side, and that at Leeds he will benefit from playing in a better side with better players around him, but I guess time will tell on that point.

Ambler may not come back, I understand a french rugby onion club have asked about his availability. I hope to see him back though.
