Life is beautiful is one of my top 5 films, i cried 2 different ways at that film in joy, and pain when he is =#FFFFFFshot by the Germans. A truly magnificent film, if no one has seen it, it comes highly recommeded.

Not seen a massive number of European films, but from what I have seen I really liked the original French version of Nikita and even better was the original Dutch/Flemish version of The Vanishing (better than the American remake in every way possible).

I think we can blanket-rule out any American or English-language remakes of any European features. Watered down versions of great films for those morons who can't be d to read subtitles. I hope the remake of Let The Right One In dies on its sorry, swollen yankee behind.
