What's it like these days? 20 years ago (has it really been that long) there was one club for me to play at - Woolston. There seems more clubs around now but what's the state of play? How about schools rugby? What is the clubs interaction like with the primary and high schools in the town?

I like going to watch Crosfields with my lad, have a few beers and watch some entertaining rugby.
It can be a decent standard if a little lacking of discipline at times.

Could someone list the amateur clubs & their relative league positions?
Any recommendations ?
It is easy enough to find fixtures via the internet ?
Previously I used to watch amateur RU Saturday afternoon at my previous place of residence ( the only "rugby" available )

It's been a while, what happened to Grappenhall and Laportes?

Laportes went a long time ago didnt they? Not sure on Grapenhall though.

Just read that Grappenhall Giants now come under Latchford Albion.

I've been away over a decade.

Telford is another

I found a Guardian quote back in 1995 saying there were only 10 primary schools playing RL. How on earth we allowed that to happen god only knows. I don't know the exact number now, but there are 35 primary schools entered into the towns 7's competition this year. Add to that a big push by Wire to re-connect with the towns local clubs and schools and I think we should see a significant increase at amateur level over the next few years.

The clubs that I would list as 'Warry' area are;
