Hmmmm, something smells odd, and it ain't just the smoke!

Been quite a few big fires recently in the town.

Probably scousers.

Company wants to knock building down, people protest and stop it from being knocked down, building burns down.

For the record I am very about angry about this.

Or perhaps it was someone from the woodland depth of WBC trying to deflect attention away from the Tree Of Lost Soles!

This is dodgy as Mr dodge playing dodgeball.

My guess is insurance job like many others.

Easier to get demo permission on a burned out shell. What else is the council going to do with it?

This stuff happens with new acquisitions of old buildings. I used to urbex and saw a few sites become burned out husks after having planning permissions denied over the years.

wonder how long before the old market goes up in smoke?

Sad to see it go with it being an iconic building but I was always a "The World" kinda guy. I was more gutted about that getting 86'd in favour of flats.
