It's a great Art Deco building, but I cannot remember what it was before becoming a pub. Can anyone jog my memory, please?

Was it a Barclays bank ?

Was a new build planning approved in 1999 on the former site of Warrington Friary.

Taylow woodrow had an office on the site.

Certainly not an art deco building. Whatever building was there prior, the friar penketh is a new building, built for JD Weatherspoons as a pub. it's not an old building that's been converted.

There was a pub on the site called the Old House at Home . It had a long narrow bar often frequented in the old days by actors and performers at the theatre across the road
