Beats me when it's men against boys, the boys persisted in playing down the middle Jon Sharp style!

The club should have played 4 or 5 first team squad players. I would have gone if they had, it was just a pointless run out. If academy players want a pre season friendly they should play other academy teams.
This was a friendly that should not even have been listed as a pre season game as there was no first team squad content, and no hint as to preseason form.

My thoughts exactly - when we did spread the ball around we looked a lot better - in difficult conditions. Our first try was a good un - 10/10 for tenacity and effort by our guys throughout. Difference was Mennell and Black for me showing their experience and pulling their team in to good scoring positions.
