As it's close season, and we now know what our squad is for 2009, I'm interested to know from my knowleageable co-fans, if you could give AGAR some advice on his 1st choice 17, and where to play OTHER players, what would it be (Stay on thread now !!!!!)

My advice to Agar would be:
1) Delegate offence and gameplanning to Sean Long
2) Delegate defence to Fitzgibbon
3) Delegate motivational teamtalks to O'Meley
4) Delegate interchanges to Lasty

NO 5 drives and a kick
No "If you see it, play it"
I don't EVER want to hear a player say "we've not really looked at the opposition this week"

Oh, and..
DON'T flog Manu for 80 minutes
Play Lauaki wide
A ball-player at 13 please
Raking kicks for Calderwood to chase
A bonus for a player when they get pulled out by the referee - bring back the biff!

looking at your side which has no dowes, radford and briscoe in the 17, i dont think agar needs any advice from you.

Spend less time txting wolfie, and more time watching videos of your opponents and get a f00king game plan

agree with briscoe as a defo starting 17, radford is a possible but don't see why Dowes would be considered a definate

There will be plenty of selection headaches at the beginning of the season but with our luck with injuries we should be down to a bare 17 by round 5.

Briscoe is still young and i would agree with going for a bit more experience at the beginning of the season.
I would like to see Whiting given a chance at loose man, i think he would add another dimension to the team in that position.

Plenty of video analysis ( scrutinizing Offence and Defence, Key plays)
Mixing it up in attack, some early kicks for the speedsters to hunt down. NOt been affraid to throw the ball around, offloading at every opportunity. Run good lines strong and hard, hitting the ball at pace.
Some new whacky plays to confuse defences, from scrums etc.
Strong defence hungry menacing and ruthless.
Working for each other.#

A lot of it is just obvious stuff but it's things we have failed to see for the last couple of years.

I know it's very very early to say but i feel a good season is on the cards.
