Baffles me how we can be close to the salary cap tbh but hey ho

So we have only four props ? Three 1st team 2nd rowers and were near the cap ? So some players are on way too much possibly seymour at a guess or were not spending the full cap

Hard to see how we can't bring in a couple more players. I'm pretty sure AP said we'd look to bring in some big names. Maybe he meant in 2013.

He does say its not the end of the recruitment though. So probably a prop/second row arriving? It begs the question why they didnt give Radford a player/coach deal. I thought he looked solid enough the few times I saw him last season.

I know we dont know what these players are on but if we are near salary cap then some players are on way too much. We havent been spending the full cap with old board and now we have released all these players and we are still near salary cap? Something just doesnt add up to me.

Front row seems fine but the backrow is a worry any injuries and we will be in trouble. Dowes, Phelps, Burnett and Wash were all on small wages so wont have freed up much cap.

IMO Gleeson, Obst, Burnett and Phelps will have been on no more than 40k a year and we have brought in four players on at least 100 k(McKinnon,Seymour,Heremaia and Lynch) with Ellis,O'Carroll and Martin all on a decent wage and covering the lads that have left. Tickle, Manu and Moa all getting pay rises. Rome wasn't built in a day and people need to realise that we will push on next year and then get better year on year.

Whiting at back row this season then, seems people have their wish about playing the young uns.

Imo, he would make an outstanding old fashioned loose forward given an extended run there. Despite him playing for you, he's a player i really rate.
