Its out on Wed 2nd November. Naughty Dog recently announced it will be out 2 days early on the Wednesday rather than the Friday so its out simultaneously across Europe! |

First review of FIFA 12 scores it at a conservative 94%. But it's apparently Games Master magazine so I've no idea of the reliability of the review as I wasn't aware they still had a magazine. I remember the TV show as a kid.

I understand that if you pre-order FIFA12, you get a special edition which includes 18 'gold packs' for Ultimate Team mode.
Now, I intend throwing myself into the UT mode this time around so the gold pack deal appeals, but I'm also keen on a bargain and usually you can drop on a discounted 'standard' version at release date.
How much are the gold packs to purchase on their own?

Ultimate Team gold packs cost 80MS points on FIFA 11 on Xbox Live. So if the prices are the same that's 1440 (or 1920) MS points you get with the special edition (Or Ultimate Edition) Which at £0.85 per 100 points equates to a £12.24 saving for the 18 pack edition or a £16.32 saving for the 24 pack edition.
So going off Amazon's £39.99 price, you would have to find the game for £27.75 or less for it to be good value.
I'd assume it will be the same on systems with inferior online systems too but I've not got the motivation to check. |

Nice, that's exactly what I'm looking for. 
Also, been on to MS today as my little nipper has somehow managed to goose my xbox dvd drive to such a degree that it constantly ejects so playing games, watching dvds etc. is impossible.
MS have said my warranty covers toddler related damage so they'll repair for free. Pretty good customer services, IMO. |

Unbelievably good. Mind you, a console as good as an Xbox 360 deserves a holiday in Germany once in a while. |
